  1. Hi Strange one which I cant get my head around. I deployed O365 updates to clients over a period of time - I've since been notified that a client hasnt got the update so I went to investigate. From the SCCM console I noticed that the deployments have disappeared (and I know they were deployed as I have the update myself). If I look within the software update group I notice the deployment package associated with it has an error "Software Update Group doesn't contain any updates" but if I look at the deployment packages I can see the package there and in the file share the contents are also in there. There are other admins who manage this server but Im just wondering where to start my investigation as its very strange. Any particular logs I can look at to see whats going on here? Thanks!
  2. HI Thanks for coming back to me - funnily enough I did but then it wasnt on :S so I re-enabled it, so all working! This config manager seems to have a mind of its own. Once I couldnt connect to the console and it turned out the permissions had been removed from the logs folder\files for the server - to which I hadnt done.... Very strange
  3. Hi guys, Just working through some scenarios with a new Configuration Manager Lab setup and I wanted to test the Bitlocker management. Ive setup https with PKI but when I then look to start the Bitlocker process I dont seem to have this feature??? The branch Im using is 2203 - any ideas please? Thanks!
  4. The issue I had (does anyone actually contribute to question on this forum??) anyway... The issue I had was that the client deployment was set to PKI https. Not having any certificates I changed it to http and all 3 of my test lab workstations have been found and the client has been installed.
  5. Hi, Trying to get my LAB up and running, when I try and push the client to a W7 x64 client I get no sccm log folder on the client. The following error is from the ccmsetup.log <![LOG[GetHttpRequestObjects failed for verb: 'GET', url: 'HTTPS://WIN-SCCM.xxx.xxx/CCM_Client/ccmsetup.cab']LOG]!><time="21:59:26.651-60" date="04-19-2013" component="ccmsetup" context="" type="3" thread="2044" file="httphelper.cpp:947"> <![LOG[DownloadFileByWinHTTP failed with error 0x87d00281]LOG]!><time="21:59:26.651-60" date="04-19-2013" component="ccmsetup" context="" type="3" thread="2044" file="httphelper.cpp:1081"> <![LOG[CcmSetup failed with error code 0x87d00281]LOG]!><time="21:59:26.661-60" date="04-19-2013" component="ccmsetup" context="" type="1" thread="3576" file="ccmsetup.cpp:10544"> Any help would be appreciated - thanks. Not really sure how to get around this one. Just out of interest do I need a CA for SCCM to work? As based on the instructions to install I didn't see anything which said you need a CA server (its a test LAB so it doesn't matter if its clear text).
  6. Scrap that - for some reason (don't ask me how or why) the discovery method has pulled in the client machine names and I can deploy the client.
  7. Hi Guys, Just starting to get into SCCM, I've installed it in a LAB environment. I've got 2 clients 1 windows 2012 server and one windows 7 client. I've setup discovery and boundaries, and successfully (I think) pushed the client to the local SCCM server. When I try and push the client to either machines I get "Configuration Manager could not find all of the information required to start client push installation on '2046820352'. This might be because the collection you are pushing the client to is in the progress of being updated. Wait for the collection update to finish and then try again." Windows update isn't running on the clients (I mean there are no updates to install) so any ideas why this is happening? Thank you
