How many Network Cards Should I Install

Hello, We are just getting started with Systems Center 2012. VMM and Configuration Manager have been installed on one server. There is currently a dual-port network card in it. Would it make sense to install an additional network card? For throughput for VMM and whatever else may be added to this server? Or would it be a waste of time and a good nic card? We will be serving about 40 servers on this Configuration Mgr installation. Thanks.
