Thought I would post my solution. After reading various threads that this pertains to boundary group, boundary group, boundary group and me repeating to myself "my boundary group is fine" only to find out it was my boundary group. I was using my AD domain as the boundary group so I finally decided to add the subnet and added that to the boundary group and it solved my issue. -

I have run into the exact same issue. Was wondering if anyone had any insight into this? Also where is the log file you reference in the post. I cannot seem to locate the SMSTS log file. I should note that my instance is a single site running these roles: Component Server Distribution Point Site database server Site Server Site System
