Dear All,
I hope you wizards will be able to help me. My Google-skills are failing to answer my (I think) relative simple question: How can I change the domain of a PC with SCCM?
Our situation is as follows. Our company is detaching from its former merger partner. So 1 company is becoming 2 companies.
After months of prep we are nearing our GO/NOGO moment and in a few weeks we hope to migrate succesfully.
I've been given the dubious honor of setting up and configuring SCCM2007 for our new domain.
I'm happy to say: so far so good. I'm a noob. I've made all the mistakes. THIS FORUM ROCKS!
Moving on...
Our plan is as follows:
- Everybody logs off for the weekend.
- VLAN's change
- trust gets severed.
- change domain workstations/laptops
- a weekend of overtime....
- 2 weeks of holiday.
Of course there is more going on but that's not relevant here.
What I want to know is this.
1. When all the PC's change VLAN, they get a new IP address. Now they should all pop-up in SCCM. How can I make them change domain?
2. But maybe first off all. How do I make them listen to my site server? Old sitecode was: NLS. New one: GMS. does it automatically change?
3. Am I, perhaps, expecting to much?
Thanks in advance for any help.
