  1. There is no fix it was designed this way by Microsoft, We are using RealVNC for our remote support now, another yearly license to pay now.
  2. So our problem is we don't want to use remote desktop we want to use remote tools. Eg. Random user calls up and says I need scanner driver installed. Now with out logging them off you connect to their computer using remote tools and attempt todo the administrive task as them. UAC will then prompt for user and pass but you can't see that cause all of a sudden your remote tools is disconnected and you cannot reconnect until the user cancles the prompt. Get my drift?
  3. I dont have a problem connecting using remote tools to a non administrator user on a computer, its when I do an administrative task like Manage My Computer or add drivers for a scanner that the UAC pops up asking for administrator username and password. I would like to be able to enter those details remotely using remote tools, but instead it stops remote tools.
  4. Yeah we could, but then we would have to log off the user to do any administrative tasks just like Windows XP has to currently. What do you use to remotely administer your clients?
  5. Hi, What do you guys use for remote control of desktops? We are implementing SCCM 2007 and I thought we could use Remote Tools that comes with SCCM to control the clients. The problem is as soon as the Windows 7 UAC screen pops up requesting an administrator credentials you cannot use remote tools to connect or control the computer anymore. Anyone had any experience with this?
  6. Standdown. I turned off all the webdav settings to false then put the ones needed back to true and it all worked. 2 hours lost. Thanks anyways
  7. Hi, Trying to setup a new SCCM Primary Site and i get th error: SMS Site Component Manager faild to install component SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER on server MI-SCCM-DP. The WebDAV server extension is either not installed or not configured properly. Solution: Make sure WebDAV is installed and enabled. Make sure there is an authoring rule that allow "All users" read access to "All content". Make sure the WebDAV settings "Allow anonymous property queries" and "Allow property queries with infinite depth" are set to "true" and "Allow Custom Properties" is set to false. The settings are as stated in the Guides. And the Authoring Rules look ok to me. But still restart of the computer and i still get the same error. The System is Windows Server 2008 x64 Enterprise, SCCM R2. Any Idea's?
