  1. Disks are only 146gb. Do you just have a task that runs a batch file that does the diskpart clean for you before it tries to format and partition the drive?
  2. I have a server that was previously loaded with an OS and has 2 drives in a RAID 1+0 config. I am trying re-image with my SCCM 2012 R2 system and when it gets to the step to partition the hard disk it fails with error code 0x800701E3. When I look at the status message on the server I see the following: The task sequence execution engine failed executing the action (Partition Disk 0 - BIOS) in the group (Install Operating System) with the error code 2147942883 Action output: ... 3. Looking for some help on this. I have written reports before in SCCM 2007, but the process is now completely different in 2012. So I am looking to generate a report that shows me both the number of physical processors and number of cores for those processors for all of the servers in a specific collection. Any help on how I could get this information would be great. I have already seen this post (http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/11000-report-or-query-to-show-number-of-physical-processors/), which gets me some of the info, but I dont have all that I need. Plus I'm having a problem with this Report Builder method for doing this.
  4. So I have 2 questions both kind of revolving around the same thing. If I wanted to push out a OSD image to a bunch of servers is there a way that I can specify what the names of the server would be without having to have it prompt me and enter them 1 by 1? What if the servers were new out of the box servers and not already registered in SCCM?
  5. I'm trying to create a task sequence step that installed the SNMP service for a 2008 R2 server and I cannot get it to work. I have tried several things I have found out on the internet, from create a package with several different command lines to just running a command line task step and none have worked. The last thing I tried was running the following command line in a Program: powershell.exe get-content '.\2008InstallSNMPService.ps1' | powershell.exe -noprofile - The ps1 file contains the following, which works when an OS is booted: import-module servermanager add-windowsfeature snmp-service Can anyone help me get this figured out? TIA
  6. Ok, nevermind, I figured out what the issue was. I forgot that I had a OS advertisement set to all PCs and that one was overriding my advertisements that were set to the All Unknown computers collection
  7. Bascially what I am trying to achive is to have 2 images (1 Windows XP and 1 Windows 7) that will work for all PCs, and will be able to be used by any PC without having to add the PC to any collection. In my environment not everyone who has access to re-image a PC has access to the SCCM server, so I need to be able to have them just reboot, hit F12 and pick the image that they would like on the server without any admin intervention. I already have my Windows XP image created and it seems be working just fine, for some reason following the steps I cannot add the Windows 7 image to the Task Sequence selection screen along with the Windows XP image.
  8. So I saw anyweb's post about how to add multiple tasks to a collection so that they would be selectable (http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/1061-using-multiple-task-sequences-via-pxe/) and that is exactly what I would like to do. I would however like to have multiple images available to both x86 and x64 processors and I am having a problem figuring out how to do this. Also I want this to be configured to work this way for the All Unknown Computers collection. Any sugguestions? Thanks.
