Hi Kevlar01.
Yes I know that Configuration manager does not support a in-place upgrade from 2008 server to 2012 server.
My scenario are as follow:
Server01: Running SCCM 2012 Sp1 (Build number 7804) on a Windows 2008 R2 server, as a Primary site, The SQL server is installed locally on the SCCM server and running version 2008R2 (10.50.2861)
Server02: Will be installed with Server 2012R2 and SQL2012 Sp1 CU6
I want to move my confiugration from Server01 to Server02 the easiest way.
In my lab, I managed to upgrade SCCM to SCCM 2012R2 and it's working like a charm.
I think I will do the same in our production.
I can take a Configmgr. backup of the site database and settings, But how will I proceed from there?
I know the new server should have the same netbios name as the old server.
I can install it with the same hard drive setup as the old server. And I need to install SCCM2012R2 on the new server, and then do a recover site.
I also know that I need to copy the filedata (Images, Bootimages, Driverpackages, programs ect. to the new server, do you have at list of which folders I need to copy?
Thanks in advance /Claus
