Hi with SP1 SCCM 2012 has ability to deploy updates 3 times per day how to configure that, now the updates delivered only once per day and definition is almost one day old? Is there some guide how to configure right scheduling for deploy these updates three times per day?

hi i was try add parameter SMSMP=SIF but nothing changed in gui still not apear another actions only user and machine policy, also cannot manually find site in ccm client gui, policy still not received
edit: Hi problem is solved I forgot to add our IP Subnet to boundary group, previoususly there was added only ad site boundary

Hi all, I'm currently in proces of migration our inrastructure to sccm 2012 but I have little problem with clients in workgroup, my install parameter is here
CCMSetup.exe /MP:SIF DNSSUFFIX=local.xx.xx SMSSITECODE=GCN FSP=SIF SMSCACHESIZE=15360
client are succesfully installed but not recieving policy from MP server, when i click on button find site it give me an error cannot find site,
i have all in one installation standalone primary on one box, DNS publishing is working, srv record is located in DNS, should I use parameter for server locator point like in 2007, but in documentation i cannot find any word about server locator point, somewhere i find that functionality was moved to MP but i didn find more about it?

Hello, everybody I have little problem with some updates for .net 4, some clients have problem to isntall updates so i decided to isntall it manually everything go ok, but after update scan client still notifying user to isntall patches which is already installed. How to fix this issue, it happend almost every month when patches are pusched but for different patches.

I also saw the problem, as a workaround, don't enter any pxe password for now, that will work fine.

Hi I have been litle bit experimenting with TS but same problem is when it is runing in standart install software sesion along with other sw isntallatiion so config manager client is already installed.
I'm using modified offline migration
edit: But when this package is advertised to client during standard SW distribution it works fine

Hi I have problem with paskage for patching sccm client KB 977384, I need to add this package to TS when migrating to Win7 but everytime the TS is completed in log I have following error

By default USMT will migrate contents which are based on default xml files. What does USMT Migrate

If you dont want to use the deafult XML files due to large data or policy constrains,you can create one what to migrate using Customize USMT XML Files http://technet.micro...793(WS.10).aspx and http://blogs.technet...leshooting.aspx and scanstate Syntax http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc749015(WS.10).aspx
Here is the tool to create xml files easily http://www.wintools.com.au/ (No xml knowledge required with this GUI )

Thanks Eswar I didn't realize that in my task sequence I didnt run migdocs.xml that was my problem.
But I have found that this default migdocs.xml will scan all drives I only need to scan C:\drive how to customize this?

Hi All, I'm helping my customer to prepare migration from XP to Win7 x86. I'm choose to take Offline hardlink migration using USMT 4.0 and SCCM SP2 R2,in my lab it working fine but the main problem is that client computers has following hard disk configuration, one physical drive 320 GB, c drive has about 100 gb and rest d 120. My plan is only wipe c drive and do scanstate of c drive. But problem is that users have lot off data on the root of c drive which is not in concordance with IT department policy, but this will be the big problem in migration scenario. I ned to make custom scanstate script to include this folders in migration. Please can you give me some advice how to do it? Does exist some sample example script somewhere?

Having a problem with PXE password in the vNext beta. I've disabled the requirement for a password but it still promps for one when booting the client.
If I enable the password requirement, it tells me the password is incorrect when I enter it. Either way it's not working. Any help would be great!!

You can remove the format and partition disk task in TS and only use the apply operating system on the selected partition like C or D etc.

Hallo, I'm in process of deployment Windows 7 OS, exisitng computers with Win XP have one HDD disk0, currently there is two partition C: has 98 GB and D: have the rest drive is I think entire hdd has 232 gb. I need to build and capture image with windows 7. How to configure task sequence to retain former hdd structure and leave user data on D: drive and only format existing c: volume?

I changed my XCOPY in my task sequence like you suggested and I am getting error code (0x00000001) after running. Does it matter if all my SMSPKG is on the ‘D’ drive instead of ‘C’ drive?

Hello recently i was updating SCCM 2012 SP1 CU3 site to R2, everything went smooth but after that wsus no longer syncing with microsoft.
This is in wsync.log
