  1. Hello there I am currently creating my SCCM 2012 Task Sequence, with MDT Integration. I would like to make use of the UDI wizard to set a number of TSVariables/Tasks before the Task Sequence begins. The goal is that the Boot Image is loaded via USB or PXE -> The relevant Task Sequence is shown -> The UDI Wizard appears to set the Computer Name -> The UDI Wizard has a drop down to choose a Domain eg Test or Prod -> The UDI Wizard can have a Drop Down list to select a "Build" whereby different applications install depending on "Build" This would then set various TS Variables so that the machine joins the appropriate domain and that the right applications install I have just started to use the UDI Guides on this site but I am only just starting out with UDI Many Thanks
  2. Hello there, We are currently deploying Windows 7 in our domain environment fairly smoothly using the Run Advertised Programs for OSD and also the BootCD (until PXE Booting is available) In our TS we move an existing computer account into our Build OU which has limited GPOs and then at the end the Computer account is moved to the standard OU. The moving of the Existing account works nicely when the Task Sequence is started from the Run Advertised Programs but does not work when from the BootCD and in WinPE. I believe it is related to WinPE not having the ability to contact AD and that ADSI tools are required but unfortunately I do not know what scripts or methods will actually be able to move the Computer Account. Any advise is greatly appreciated
  3. We use a similar method for moving the Computer Object after the build stage the command line should be like this cscript.exe "name of script file.vbs" We have an issue moving an existing computer account before the Image is deployed. Has anyone got a working script for Windows PE to move the computer account?
  4. I have followed your guide for Capturing Windows 7 (I also followed your guides for setting up SQL and SCCM so many thanks for that!) After numerous small problems, mostly being new to SCCM the task sequence of yours that I imported is now showing in RAP and working. The machine removes itself off the domain, reboots and seems to config the ConfigMgr client successfully. The next stage is the Sysprep stage, but here the TS fails with error code 0x00000057. The SMSTS log shows some lines as follows Local machine is not part of a domain Emptying Recycle Bin failed Administrator Account name = 'Administrator' (This is not the account set up for auto login, a seperate local admin account was setup) Reset Password Operation successful Failed to pre-stage the WINPE image Unable to sysprep the machine Sysprep'ing the machine failed Exiting with error code 87 Failed to run the action: Prepare OS. The parameter is incorrect (Error: 00000057; Source: Windows Any information would be greatly appreicated. It is difficult to extract the full log as the machine is on a seperated VM Network within our corporate network
