I have our SCOM agents on all of my clients, though most of the 'basic' MPs that throw alerts for these computers quickly get their thresholds raised as well as (more commonly) disabled completely.
They just tend to create a LOT of noise until you get it dialed in just right.

Have you deployed your Task Sequence to your Unknown Computers groups? I've never seen that exact error, but that sounds like where I'd check. Normally you'd see an abortpxe.com come across when there aren't any available TS for your machine, though.

All, Can anyone point me to an exact step by step for getting the correct SQL permissions set up so I'm able to connect my SM and CM together? I've done it before, but for some reason my current config is REFUSING to build the connector.
Firewall is stopped on both, I've got my connecting account configured in SCSM Run As Accounts and have given that account db_datareader, public, and smsdbrole_extract on my SCCM SQL (CM_CRP) database. But no matter what I try, whenever I try building the connector from service manager, I get "There was an error attempting to connect to SQL Server <SCCM.domain.name>, database CM_CRP for user <runas_account>. Please check the server name, database name and credentials for correctness."
Please help, this is infuriating as I had it working previously before I rebuilt my Service Manager deployment. (It's SQL got burnt and we hadn't gotten far enough along that it was worth salvaging.)
Thanks so much!

Kingen you should change RUN FROM DP instead of downloading the WIM and then applying , saves u like 15mins
+1! Every once in a while I'll forget to make sure it only runs from DP and I wonder why it takes so much longer
Lets face it though - once you have an entire computer migration down under two hours - whats another 15 minutes between friends

Are you requiring newly installed SCOM Agents to be manually authorized to report back? Check under SCOM --> Administration --> Pending Management
If your BizTalk/SP servers are in this grouping, RMB and 'Approve'
