  1. thanks for the reply, ye it fire off straight away after "Retrieving policy from server" without letting me to select any task sequence, and the it just went to 15 count down. I have set all task sequences to launch it ASAP. does anyone know is there a tutorial showed on this site "https://www.sit.auckland.ac.nz/SCCM_Boot_CD_/_USB_Stick"? or could anyone do a mini version of step by step? Thanks!
  2. Hey guys, I finally got unknow computers to connect to server, but I only able to advertise one task sequence at a time on one collection "All system". for example: Booted the WinPE SCCM image from USB, the machine connected to SCCM server and it fetched the last advertisement I've created the advertised task sequence from the server. Does anyone know how to and where to get the wizard where you can select one TS from a list of TSs? and other option showed on the site like, allows you to enter computer name https://www.sit.auckland.ac.nz/SCCM_Boot_CD_/_USB_Stick I have got MDT intergrated in SCCM.
  3. Yeah, thanks for the reply dude. Already figured it out and got R2 installed now PXE Point and bootable option gave me an option for "Support unknown computers". Thanks anyweb your the man!
  4. Thanks for the speedy reply dude! having a problem now, "This computer is not registered with the configuration manager". A quick research on google and found out: "To deploy an operating system to a new computer without stand-alone media that is not currently managed by Configuration Manager 2007, the new computer must be added to the Configuration Manager 2007 database prior to initiating the operating system deployment process. Although Configuration Manager 2007 can automatically discover computers on your network that have a Windows operating system installed, if the computer has no operating system installed you will need to import the new computer information by using the Import Computer Information Wizard. This wizard supports importing information about a single computer, or importing information about one or more computers from an external .csv file." source: http://brothertu.blogspot.com/2008/09/error-this-computer-is-not-registered.html Tried to import the PC to the collection and it worked. but is it possible to avoid adding a PC to the collection? is there any option to allow me to skip the retrieving policy stage, so it wont ask me to import PC details and add it to collectio. Thanks!!
  5. *SOVLED* Hi everyone, Would it be possible for PC to boot without adding PC to collection? (So I can just connect a bare metal machine to network and boot it up from there to install image?) I know it sounds like WDS where I just need to connect the PC to network and choose NIC to boot. Do SCCM have a way around to boot a PC connect to SCCM server, like a USB type of thing or CD where I can just insert them and use it to boot the PC to connect to server and image the machine, with the settings/unattended file stored in USB drive. So the PC know which image and software to grab to install. The main goal is that I want to know, how fast is a SCCM can deploy an default OS + software to a PC comparing to WDS to image a PC with a image that already built. the reason is that im start setting up this because the place I work, they want me to test this on locally first before use this on the live network.
