Troubleshooting failed installations through RAP


I recently was hired into a position where i am finding many times I am having to deal with failed installations when clients attempt to install programs through RAP. I see that there are a great deal of client side log files associated with SCCM 2007, and i am wondering which is the best log file to check in order to determine the reason why an installation has failed.

Further to that, any general pieces of insight/resources etc. for troubleshooting client side issues as they relate to sccm?
