Deploying winows 7 with sysprep

Question

Hi,

I have set up a Windows server 2008 with WDS and was wondering if somone could tell me if I am going the right direction. I would create an answer file

using wism, put this answer file in the sysprep folder (C:\windows\system32\sysprep) run sysprep from there. The machine will reboot, pxe into my Windows 2008 server

where I can capture the image of my machine? Is this correct? Another question is that the machines have oem, how can I not have to put the product key into every machine

manually. In windows xp there was a default key you could use, but I can't find anything like that for windows 7. Do I just leave the product key blank in my answer file?

Thanks,

Slack

If you are planning on deploying a bunch of computers for a business you really need a Volume License Key. That is the key to put into WISM. Not sure if you get prompted for an OEM key if you deploy without a key in the file created from WISM.
