SQL Collation Settings for SCCM 2012

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have the full standard version of SCCM 2012 which I ordered with SQL 2008 r2. I installed SQL initially with the default collation settings but then SCCM 2012 would not install. This was because I'm in the UK and Regional settings were on UK. It was defaulting to Latin1_General_CI_AS for the Database and Analysis services collation settings. I found that for SCCM 2012 the database collation settings needed to be SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS, I can change them to that but this is not an option for Analysis Services and I get a warning about the collations being different. I've seen a post on another forum that this shouldn't be a problem "in most circumstances".

Has anyone else seen this?

Thanks,
