SCCM 2012 & WSUS on Server 2012

Question

I noticed anywebs guides on adding WSUS to SCCM, however, I just set up a SCCM environment and would like all my servers, including WSUS to be on Server 2012. I know this was not supported until SP1 which is what I'm using. I added the WSUS server as a SUP before adding the WSUS role to the server. I'm assuming that's where I messed up? I'm not sure. Does anyone have any guides like anywebs on adding WSUS on Server 2012 to SCCM 2012 SP1? Any help is much appreciated!

Yep. You need to install the WSUS role first. Cancel out of the setup wizard. Then configure the Software Update Point component in Configuration Manager. If there's no WSUS role installed on the target server, the SUP configuration attempt will simply fail (as WSUS is a prerequisite for a SUP).

This basic procedure is not unique to CM2012SP1, it applies to any installation of ConfigMgr when configuring a Software Update Point. The only thing unique about the CM2012SP1 scenario is that it is required to use Win2012.
