SMS-PXE E53 boot issues - failing to update bootimage?

I've been banging my head trying to PXE boot workstations that had in the past been fine. I have three other DP's that have the same issue with the x64 boot image. Some workstations still PXE boot which led me to think it was the drivers but after trying a whole host I now think its the wim file not updating and stuck somewhere (see logs below).

 

Fresh SCCM 2012 SP1 on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 and SQL 2012 SP1

I have deleted and re-added my x64 boot file fresh.

Removed drivers and re-added only the Dell WinPE 4.0 A1 drivers cab (have tried several others - these used to work).

Removed and re-added distribution point (restarting in-between)

Boot image is distributed (and monitoring shows this happens), tick box for "Deploy this boot image from PXE-enabled distribution point" is ticked.

The file is updated and showing recent time change under D:\RemoteInstall\SMSImages\CH10002F

I spent 2 days resolving this problem on a server 2008 sp2 but I stumbled upon this blogpost.

I have no idea why, but the DP fails to mount the wim to do some changes in it. But if you copy the correct windows folder to the SMSTempBootFiles folder will it copy the files into the image.

Follow the instructions step by step and might work, it did for me.
