Hi, I am having a massive problem with deploying an image over MDT. The custom image is 3GB and the copying windows files finishes 100 percent in about 5 seconds, then it takes about 2 hours to expand the windows files. Looking on the WDS server network utilization, its at about .5 percent of a 1GB network connection on the server end and the client end. this happens on all clients and also takes just as long to capture an image. I can copy a file from my machine to the server and it runs at waht you would expect for a 1GB connection. the setup is as follows. VMWARE ESXI 4 environment with 28GB RAM (4GB allocated to WDS server) Server 2008 R2 MDT 2010 update 1 WDS role installed Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I have read about a hundred different forum answers about the versions of the WIMGAPI.dll file, and I can safely say that every single copy of WIMGAPI.dll has exactly the same version number on the server, which is server 2008 R2 by the way. the deployment share was working fine yesterday and i have already deployed and captured an image with it. Today I received a new machine with a different network driver, injected the driver, clicked on "update deployment share" and now i cannot update it, i have recreated the share, reinstall WAIK. HELP!!!
