  1. Hi everyone, I created a Collection(tree) e.g. "Software" on my Central Site. A few minutes after that I will see these Software Collection on my Primary Site but it is locked. So actually it is not possible to add a Computer to these Collection from my Primary Site. To fix this I created a instance security right in the Security Option (in the left column). With a right-click on "Software" -> Property’s -> Security I am able to see my user with all permissions under the Instance options. But I am not able to add or remove a Computer to these Collection. So how could I fix this? I hope you understand my problem...
  2. Hi, we wrote a small tool to generate collection (1 collection for each department and its subdepartments). This structure is gernerated on the Central Site and flows down to the Primary Site. Is there a way that a Admin can move/add Computers to one of these Collection from the Primary Site?
  3. Is there no option to set "Discovery Data" manually?
  4. Hi all, we are actually testing SCCM in a lab. We are watching to add a default User / Owner to a Client Computer. Is there a way to add it, to the "Discovery Data"? Thx
  5. Hallo everyone, I actually testing the OSD in SCCM2012 with Windows 7. The OS is installed correctly(with Network and Domain Settings) but I can’t get the Client installed. I created a Package from Definition with the Client.msi in the SCCM dir ( \client\x64\client.msi ) which should be installed in the Task Sequence. But it don’t. P.S. Also the disable Firewall step won’t work anymore (in 2007 it works) and I don’t know why.
  6. So my WDS is running. The mistake was that i had just one partition, on the WDS installation the RemoteInstall dir will be created on an Drive != %Systemdrive% if there is no other driver it won’t be created. To solve this i configured the WDS Server so that he is point to a RemoteInstall dir on the System drive.
  7. You can also see Packages in the Software Catalog but you have to advertise it to a User Collection. If you log in with a user of these collection you will the advertised package.
  8. Yes, i also created a brand new vm with a fresh Server 2008R2. I just joined the Maschine to the Domain rebooted it and installed the WDS Role. But the service also wont start.
  9. No, in my Lab Scenario I am having a Server as Domain Controller, DHCP and DNS also a SCCM 2007 Central Site a SCCM 2007 Primary Site (with disabled WDS) a SCCM 2012 Central Site a SCCM 2012 Primary Site( with WDS errors ) the SCCM 2012 Sites are on one Maschine but the Primary Site is on a Hyper-V VM.
  10. Hi everyone, I am actually testing a SCCM 2012 migration and got Problems with the WDS Server ( everything else works ). Before I install the dotNet Framework 4.0 the WDS Service works fine. After Installation it throws the Error "Windows Deployment Services Server could not be started." It was tested on different states of Installation (befor .Net, befor SQL, befor SCCM) on different Maschienes.
