  1. Trying to install r3 remote console gets error Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3 requires Configuration Manager 2007 QFE KB977384 Spent quite a while trying to get this hotfix installed so I could install the updated R3 console on my windows 7 machine. When I would run the msi I would get the following error “Software Update for ConfigMgr 2007 SP2 (KB977384) Setup Wizard ended prematurely”. Here is how I finally got it installed hold shift right click on the file select run as different user use administrator credentials follow the prompts install completes (note this was the actual hotfix msi file 6,100 kb, not the msp ) I find it strange since the account that was failing was a network administrators account. 2. I did that a while back and it everything is updating now, i had initially set the software inventory to update more often not knowing that was actually affected by the hardware inventory. thanks for your reply.
  3. The collections is working, i am seeing the changes now, my only problem is it is taking a few days to see the changes, is this normal? Is there a way to speed this up? Julius
  4. Hi, I am new to SCCM and have a question about collections, I have a created some collections based on query that check to see if certain software is installed on PCs, that works perfect. However when I remove the software from the computers it is still showing up in the collection, It has been a few days now and the machines are still in the collection. I do know that the collection is being updated because the client was installed on a few new machines and they are showing up in the collections. Any Suggestions Thanks Julius Ps sorry for reposting think I posted in the wrong area.....
