I wonder if there is any way to use USMT 3.0.1 scanstate for automatic migration and deployment of XP SP0, SP1, SP2, SP3 to XP3 and to Win7 image by offline WINPE. What exactly does USMT3.0.1 need to work offline, I tried tools like loadhive and Runscanner plugin with no luck. loadstate is no problem as it will run in the new system, scanstate should be offline and point to the source XP installation. I know that USMT4 is able to run offline but it works only with XP SP3 migration to Win7 and not for SP2 for example. I would like to offline scanstate the source XP when there is a crush in the system and it is unbootable. Thanks.
