  1. The Endpoint role has been working great for our organization. One problem I have encountered though: If endpoint encounters malware that requires it to reboot to clean the computer, it will sit there waiting for the user to reboot the computer. Is there a way to force Endpoint to reboot the computer when it needs to? Our users are ignoring the popup from Endpoint for days on end we have found. Thanks Stephen
  2. Fixed my problem. We have Websense here (What a piece of crap it is....) For whatever reason that was causing the problem. We created a rule to bypass Websense for that machine and all works well.
  3. Update: I have done a good bit of troubleshooting, but I cannot figure this out (Pulling what I have left of my hair out)... I cant get any updates to download into the sccm. I tried uninstalling SUS and reinstalled, just in case that was causing the problem, dumped and redid the software update manager, dunno... Im really in need of some help here if someone has any ideas. Thanks
  4. I am working with a fresh install of RC2. After getting through to setting up Endpoint, the definition updates will not download. I have tried to force them to download, and it kicks up with this: Package: Success: The software updates were placed in the existing package: • Endpoint Protection Definition Updates Software updates downloaded from the internet Error: Definition Update for Microsoft Endpoint Protection - KB2461484 (Definition 1.119.1882.0) Errors There was an error downloading the software update. (12150) Error: Definition Update for Microsoft Endpoint Protection - KB2461484 (Definition 1.119.1825.0) Errors There was an error downloading the software update. (12150) Error: Definition Update for Microsoft Endpoint Protection - KB2461484 (Definition 1.119.1835.0) Errors There was an error downloading the software update. (12150) Error: Definition Update for Microsoft Endpoint Protection - KB2461484 (Definition 1.119.1846.0) Errors There was an error downloading the software update. (12150) I proceeded forward to the other software updates and get the same issue. This did work fine with RC1. Any help appreciated! Thanks Stephen
  5. There is no smsts log file on the system. I hit F8 and can go to the C: drive. The only folder there is the _SMSTaskSequence folder. The SMSTSLOG folder is not there at all...
  6. There is no smsts.log file on the server Edit: I booted up the machine being deployed to with Ubuntu to look at the drive to see if there was anything on it yet. It is blank - zilch nada on it, so it is not getting past the partition/format part of the sequence I also have tried this with a physical system and a VMware virtual system - on two different subnets as welll
  7. Good morning everyone! I have been following the installation guides for SCCM 2012 (Amazing work by the way!) I have been stuck on step 7 Build and capture for about a week now... I am about ready to go to the datacenter and stick a grenade inside one of the racks! I have worked through most of my issues (IP Helpers, Subnets/Sites properly registered in AD etc) but I am just simply STUCK at this error: WinPE loads up, formats the hard drive and then goes to "Apply Operating System" after about 30 seconds to a minute, I get a popup that says - Task Sequence Wizard - Failed to Run Task Sequence - An error occurred while starting the task sequence (0x80070002). For more information, contact your system administrator or helpdesk operator. Ugh... I have gone through and redid everything I cant tell you how many times. I also tried for the heck of it loading up a 7x32 installer to try. AND I even tried to give everyone full control of the \\sccm\sources just in case that was the issue... Any ideas? THANK YOU in advance for your help
