  1. smsts.logAll, Need a bit of help with the windows 7 capture task. I have built my Windows 7 reference machine and configured it the way I want, I then create my TS (in a similar way to http://www.petenetli...cle/0000302.htm) it all looks good as it sysprep's the machine reboots then tries to capture the image however it's at this point it fails. I have checked through the log and everything points to NIC driver or access rights to the share I created for image file. I then rebuilt my reference machine back to the way I wanted it, confirmed that the NIC driver am using on the machine is loaded into the x86 boot image and also confirmed that I can access the share using the account specified and can create files, write, save etc in that location --------- and it still fails!!!! I have attached the log hopefully someone can help me out? Thanks
  2. All, Just tried a side-by-side mig in my place of work - similar setup SCCM 2008 SP2 windows xp to windows 7, using the computer association etc...setup the Task Sequence and it failed 1st time round with - Task Sequence XXXXXX has failed with the error code 0x00002004 - then after applying the KB977203 fix the restore process worked? I am still at a loss as to why I can't get it to run at my customers site, can anyone suggest something else to try???? Thanks
  3. I did read someones post where that was his issue it was pointing directly into the x86 folder however again this is not the case with my setup - I am totally stuck here, I tried to re-run the job and again it captures my .mig file however I can't deploy same error as above, it doesn't even look as though its trying to deploy the settings as it fails straight away.......don't even get scanstate.log??
  4. Thanks for the suggestions however I have double checked and my TS is setup the exact same way + verbose logging. I am going to try the whole operation again from the start might be something I've missed along the way!?!? Cheers
  5. All, After running the CCMcertfix tool again I have managed to by the 0x00002004 error however I now get Failed to run the action: Request State Store.Unknown error (Error: 00004005 - reported in my SMSTS.log smsts.log
  6. Hi, Been struggling with this since Friday afternoon. I have SCCM 2007 SP2 and I have already applied the fix outlined in KB977203 - I was having issues with capturing the users profile however this KB did fix that issue for me - now I am trying to deploy the user settings back down to the new Windows 7 SP1 machine (client version 4.00.6487.2111) and I keep getting the error above. From looking online lots of people keep directing me back to the KB article however I know it's applied and it appears to be working as I can successfully capture the data where I couldn't before. When I run my OSD TS these new Win7 PC's joing my domain as I have applications which I deploy in my TS that are AD intergrated however I only log these PC's on using a domain admin account - so no other AD account is on these boxes prior to the restore USMT file. I have attached the smsts.log file Thanks in advance smsts-20120220-142525.log
  7. Peter, Yes, that was it - recreated my SCCM client package and now have my image Thanks
  8. All, Fairly new to O/S deployment using SCCM however decided to use it for a 150 plus workstation roll-out. My plan was to build a golden image using the build and capture task sequence of Windows 7 + my applications. I have ran through all the relevant task's before configuring my task sequence and also added a driver package for the NIC and added it to the boot image. I then ran through my TS and advertised it to my collection which held the PC I wanted to deploy the golden image to - using PXE it started to run through deploying windows 7......it finishes installing windows then asks for a reboot however at this point it fails with 0x80004005 error. I have went through a few posts which advised to remove any driver packages you may have, windows key etc...so I stripped down my install to just deploy windows with no driver packages or windows key and I still run into this error? I have attached the SMSTS.log & setupact.log. Thanks in advance smsts.log setupact.log
