  1. I chose to do a manual recovery of the database and just pointed it at the server and that seemed to work.
  2. I've shut down my old server and I'm trying to recover the site on new hardware with a site backup. It makes it all the way through until it gets to the SQL portion and it fails. SQL is installed on a separate machine and always has been. It connects fine but fails with the following error. Any help would be greatly appreciated. INFO: Updated the site GUID in the registry. $$<Configuration Manager Setup><07-22-2015 12:38:20.752+300><thread=4796 (0x12BC)> INFO: Resetting the installed hotfixes status on local SQL server sql01.harpethhall.org. $$<Configuration Manager Setup><07-22-2015 12:38:20.768+300><thread=4796 (0x12BC)> INFO: Reset the installed hotfixes status on sql01.harpethhall.org. $$<Configuration Manager Setup><07-22-2015 12:38:20.799+300><thread=4796 (0x12BC)> INFO: Registered type SMS_ACCESS for sql01.harpethhall.org CM_HH0 $$<Configuration Manager Setup><07-22-2015 12:38:20.799+300><thread=4796 (0x12BC)> INFO: SQL Connection succeeded. 3. I'm having an issue when trying to get winpe 5.0 to boot in uefi. It will fail at initializing hardware when, I'm assuming, trying to initialize the nic. However, if I switch the bios over to allow legacy boot, the same boot image works fine. Any thoughts as to what might be going on? Thanks
  4. So I had a major fiasco a lost my Primary server in a one server environment. There was a miscommunication with my coworker and we have a data backup, but not a baremetal or SCCM backup. My SQL db is on a different machine and the apps/packages are still present on the d: drive of the primary serevr. I tried to restore the OS, install SCCM and do a site recovery but every time I tried to update an application, driver package or a .wim I'd get a source is not available error. Is there a way to re-link everything, or should I just start over? Thanks for any advice.
  5. I have MDT 2012 integrated and I'm trying to set the computer name during OSD to a combination of two separate variables separated by a dash %Model%-%SerialNumber%. Is this possible? I have added the OSDComputerName variable but I can't figure out the syntax to set both variables as the value. Thanks
  6. Thanks for setting up the guides. They have been a big help. I'm having an issue trying to multicast an OS install with a deploy and capture task sequence. It keeps failing at the multicast. I have reset WDS and reset the distribute via win pe on the distribution point and the image but I still get a 0x8004005 error. smsts1.log
