  1. According to the SCCM 2012 guide of the forum it is necessary to open the TCP port 1433 and 4022 for SQL replication, if setting up a hierarchie. So it is not necessary to do this step if I set up a standalone primary site, right?
  2. Is it possible to change the domain membership of a CM primary site server without a complete reinstallation?
  3. ? But I want to determine that e.g. MS Word icon is on the left side and the MS Excel icon is on the right side....how to realise that? Do I need a script or whatever?
  4. But how to align the icons at a certain postition on the desktop?
  5. Thanks for your help, I gonna try it by creating a GPO.
  6. Ok Thanks! But I guess I will avoid to use SCUP for my small size network.
  7. My problem: After deploying several apps the desktop icon of them will appear randomly...is there a way to determine the exact position for the desktop icons? I want to create a user friendly, unified desktop surface.
  8. Hi Matt_B, can you send me some links with the mentioned blogs? I can't find it anywhere. Thanks!
  9. After deploying the OS, drivers and apps I want to change user permissions for specific folders. How can I do that? Is there a function in SSCM or do I have to use a group policy?
  10. As already mentioned I would create a task sequence to deinstall the old version and install the new one. I am just afraid of the workload if using SCUP for third parties update.
  11. I guess I need a task sequence to copy the files to a certain location. How can I do that? Thanks for your patience...
  12. That means I can name the devices by importing the machines with an CSV (which contains name, GUID,MAC). Right? I am a bit confused. What is the easiest way to name 100 devices which are not yet imported in Configuration Manager?
  13. Hi Peter, thanks for your help again. How can I extract a zip via a command line and ceate a desktopn icon at the same time?
