  1. I'm planning to install a secondary site server in my SCCM 2012 SP1 hierarchy and wanted to know if I should install the SQL Express(which installs by default) or install a new instance of SQL server 2012 enterprise? My primary site server is currently running remotely on SQL Server 2012 SP1. Thanks, Paul
  2. Did you install a cumulative update or upgrade to SP1? I'm currently using SQL Server 2012 CU2. Thanks, Paul
  3. I'm tryin to setup the report services point site system role on my SCCM 2012 SP1 primary site. However when I get the configuring the settings the "Reporting Services server instance" is blank, and I'm not able enter anything inside that box. I verified my reporting services configuration manager that report server is setup properly. I see other threads posting similar issues but many of them has to do with SQL 2008. Current SCCM 2012 SP1 configuration is below.... Primary Site Server: SCCM 2012 SP1 SQL Server(separate remote server) SQL Server 2012 CU2 ***SMSAdmin Account has local admin rights on the sql server*** Thanks Paul
  4. Yeah, I understood what he was saying but I was just asking because for some reason after unchecking my domain within my publshing properties, I didn't my 2012 primary site server within system managerment anymore. I still see all my 2007 site servers but not my 2012 site server....
  5. Thank Niall, I ended up just unchecking the active domain for the primary site server settings. However, if I do that will that remove the computer account of CM site server from the system managment container? I'm asking because when I went to the system Management container in AD my computer account of the SCCM 2012 primary site server was no longer there.... Strange I know.
  6. If want to prevent prohibit ConfigMgr 2012 from publishing to Active Directory, can I just stop publishing to the active domain within the site server settings?
  7. I'm in the process of configuring boundary groups for site assignment, but I want to ensure that each boundary in my boundary group is not a member of another boundary group with a different site assignment. I currently have a SCCM 2007 source hierarchy in our environment, which have a separate boundary for each Active Directory site within our local forest. My question is when I create my boundaries and boundary groups in SCCM 2012 SP1, how to I prevent overlapping my boundaries in my SCCM 2007 enviroment. I read the technet documentation that overlapping boundaries are not supported for site assignment. However, I read overlapping boundaries are supported for content location. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh427326.aspx#BKMK_CreateBoundary Thanks in advance Paul
  8. I've been searching for a definitive answer, and also checked on technet. So does anyone know is SCOM 2012 supported with SQL 2012 SP1? I know SCOM 2012 SP1 is supported, just can't verify if SCOM 2012 is. Thanks, Paul
  9. Peter, You are referring to the Active Directory Forest Discovery properties? "Automatically create AD site boundaries when they are discovered" "Automatically create IP addressess range boundaries for IP subnets when they are discovered" Thanks, P
  10. Iroqouiz, Thanks for replying, issue has been resolved. Problem was due to a proxy issue...For some reason my proxy would let it go to that specific url to pull down the dotnetfx40_Client_x86_x64 fie. Workaround was I just manually added the the two files into the prerequisite folder and it was able to complete successfully SCCM 2012 SP1. P
  11. I get an error every time I try to download the prerequesites downloads for SCCM 2012 SP1. It's downloads 51 out of 56 downloads then errors out when trying to download "dotnetfx40_Client_x86_x64" . Only happens in SCCM 2012 SP1. Thanks, Paul
  12. I currently have SCCM 2007 and SCCM 2012 SP1 in my testing environment. When discovering Active Directory sites, subnets, users, and computers in SCCM 2012 SP1, can that affect your anything in my SCCM 2007 hierarchcy? Thanks, P
  13. We are using WINPE 3.1(64 bit), and the hardware in some of our remote sites are definitely at least 3 years old. So I feel like i'm in a catch 22 because SP1 sets me up for the future(ie-server 2012), but installing it will/may cause some issues in our current infrastructure....
  14. I'm in the process with installing SCCM 2012 and wanted to know should I go and install SCCM 2012 SP1 (instead of SCCM 2012 "no service pack) considering the current SP1 issues I've been reading. Grant it, most of the issues I see is when admins or engineers are upgrading from SCCM 2012 no service pack to SCCM 2012 SP1, and not a fresh install. What do you all think? Thanks, P
  15. Lawerence, You were 100% correct, after creating another certificate we were able to pull WSUS updates again. Thanks again That
