  1. Hi All Checking the collective experience. We are testing the upgrade from SCCM 2007 to 2012 SP1 for a large environment. The goal is to flatten the hierarchy, simplify administration, and reduce server costs. RBAC is crucial for limiting system and data access between organizations sharing the CAS. Reporting is problematic. We are able to control access to reports/folders with RBAC, but collection limitations are missing from standard reports. By example: User A works for organization AA, With Role AAA and has visibility to 10 collections out of 500 on the CAS. This user can only access report in folders Based on Role and Scope. But when (s)he runs reports all 500 collections are available in report parameters and reports. We reported the problem to Microsoft, after reviewing report source to find the how SID was passed into a function for collections. User id is always "Disabled" as input the function. This was reported as breakage to Microsoft Support. Support has indicated this "feature" is not part of SP1 and will be in a future release. Anyone else experienced this problem with SCCM 2012 SP1 supplied "Stock" reports? ScottyB
  2. A question for the collective experience Planning SCCM 2012 SP1 test system setup for multinational corporation with many business units. Customer wants to add business unit report directories to SSRS reports and believes they should be visible as Console reports, Controlled by RBAC, and integrated into SCCM’s security mechanism. Has anyone done this? The directories are easy to add to the SSRS report sever with the SCCM defaults. Adding these directories to show up under the Asset Manager Properties Permissions tab with the report Permissions isn’t clear. Anyone done this? Administration allows you to build collections, define security scope, and much more, but the path to adding report directories is not clear. Thanks in advance!
  3. Hi SCCM 2012 installation with multiple primary servers, for multinational corporation. Our 2007 setup has 2 primary servers in countries with export controls, privacy laws, and specific business limitations. In this case our 2007 setup has Primary servers with “stand-alone administration and operation. SCCM 2012 install requirements include direction to have reporting service points at 2 primary sites, as well as the Administration Server. Functionally this would enable Console reporting with SSRS at the Admin Server, and the two remote primary servers. Is this possible with 2012?
