Hi, I had this same problem. I upgraded from SCCM 2012 to SCCM 2012 SP1. The boot images did not get updated, and I missed that. I updated it based on several of the webpages I found on the internet, but didn't do one step. I failed to actually cause SCCM to distribute the updated boot images, and when I used them in a task sequence, I got the exact same error you're getting. Hope this helps.
