  1. Hi All, I really hope someone can help me with this sudden problem I'm experiencing. I'm trying to deploy a TS on some Dell Optiplex 320s and the TS is *suddenly* failing. It fails at the point of installing applications, installing the first two and then failing on the rest. I know the wim is fine because I've used the same one for deploying to other machines and it works fine. The logs point to an issue with WMI with entries such as An extract of the log file is below: Should I run a command before the application install task to clear/reset the repository or has anyone got any other ideas? Thanks in advance
  2. Hi All, Please accept my apologies if this has been asked and answered already; I did search the forum for similar topics but found nothing that answered my question. I've seen how to capture a reference image using the 'create task sequence media' option, but is there not a way of doing this without using the burn iso to disc method? Surely you can do an image capture TS via PXE boot? I'm sure there is a way to do this by creating a custom TS but I'm not sure how to go about doing this. Has anyone else done this and if so could they tell me what steps they used in their TS? I just can't believe it's not possible to capture a reference image without using the burning ISO to CD then launching on image computer method, which is frankly pretty archaic. Thanks in advance
  3. SP1 No it still seems to stick on the D: drive I'm sure I have but I might just start all over again and capture a new image. Thanks for the second tip though. If this fails I'll try it
  4. Hi, For some reason when I deploy Windows 7 using a task sequence it puts it on the D:\ drive not the C as expected. I understand this can be due to using stock wim files from a disc rather than using a build and capture wim, but I haven't done this; I have followed the Windows newb guides very religiously. In the task sequence on the deploy task I even specified that it goes on the C: drive but it still went on the D:\ drive. Is there something I could be missing? Can anyone point me in the direction of something to double check which may be causing this? Thank you
  5. Hi, These guides are a huge lifesaver so thanks for this, although I have a question. I was wondering whether there's any information on deploying a build and capture TS that also installs applications and drivers? I tried to do this by adding apps and drivers in the TS but although the base image of Windows 7 installed fine, none of the drivers or apps I applied to the TS were installed, and I know these definitely work as I've test deployed them. Do you need to deploy the apps and drivers individually to the collection containing your test B+C machine too? Perhaps someone could point me in the direction of the best log to view regarding B+C please? Thanks a million
