  1. Our Windows 10 Enterprise PCs were getting updates directly from the Internet saturating our pipe. To stop this behavior we had to block a range of WindowsUpdate IP at the firewall but later just stopped the Windows Update service on every Windows 10 1607 PC. We are using SCCM 1610 (WSUS installed same server) - Windows 7 PCs not a problem just Windows 10. By doing an RSOP to a workstation, the Specify Intranet Microsoft Update Service Location points to http://server.contosto.com:8530, our GPOs are the following: Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Windows Update/Defer Windows Update/Defer Select when Feature Updates are received - Enabled - 180 days Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Delivery Optimization Download mode - bypass Under Settings, Choose how updates are delivered - When this is turned on, your pc ... that settings is gray out, PCs on my local network and PCs on my local network and PCs on the Internet nothing (no option selected.) How do you stop from Windows 10 1607 to get updates to the Internet? What am I missing? That shouldn't be the behavior, we like to control when updates are delivered.
  2. nathan_bird Exactly the level of detail I was looking for a side by side installation. I haven't start yet. About the Migration Tools, did you use SCCM 2012 R2 SP1 tools or 1511 tools? I am assuming you lost some of the history by changing SQL server. Leaving SQL out of the same SCCM server helps the performance. The site code is located in several registry keys, correct? Minimal downtime is the key!
  3. I am using System Center Updates Publisher 2011 to upgrade Adobe Reader without problems (SCCM 2012 SP1). Read somewhere about the version issue that you have. As a workaround you may want to uninstall 11.0.08 first and install 11.0.09 after - ugly solution.
  4. Thanks Jörgen. Found the solution, in the Application package - Distribution Settings, I checked Distribute the content for this package to preferred DPs and Automatically download content when packages are assigned to the DPs. Also in the Deployment Type, Content, under Deployment Options selected Download content from DP and run locally. Applications are working fine now.
  5. Using SCCM 2012 SP1. Deploying Windows 7 (PXE) from Primary Site location everthing works fine. From the distribution point (remote location) everything works except the applications in the task sequence. The task sequence section "setup operating system" works except the applications are not being installed, the rest of the sequence works fine. The applications are in the distribution point. What am I missing?
