Ok here is an update. I found that this will not work with a WinPE version of 10.XX.XXXX
I am installing SCCM 1511 now, and then will update to 1601. After all of that I will report back.

Hello,
I am hoping that someone out there knows how to help...
I am trying to deploy Win 10. I was having the same issue as the one found here https://www.windows-noob.com/forums/topic/12829-deploying-windows-10-image-with-drivers-0x80070032-sccm-r2-sp1-cu1/
Based on the last comment from anyweb, I went to http://freshblog.azurewebsites.net/2015/08/13/create-and-import-windows-10-winpe-into-your-sccm-environment/
Now when I PXE boot the TS reboots at Preparing Network Connections. I have attached the smsts.log smsts.log but here is a the errors:
"RegOpenKeyExW is unsuccessful for Software\Microsoft\SMS\Task Sequence"
"GetTsRegValue() is unsuccessful. 0x80070002."
"TS environment is not initialized"
I do get an IP address and can ping the DNS names of the MP and DP. The drive shows in Diskpart and I cleared the entire disk. A google search returns no real info.
Thoughts???

There's a weird time zone bug; change the deployment "available" time back a few hours. Voila, like magic, it'll show up.
That was fantastic!! Thank you...

Ok we seem to have this "Fixed" we rebuilt the TS and all seems to be running again...

I can see the following take a bit of time to install, 10 - 15 mins for each
MovieMaker
Smart_NB_15.exe
The rest look ok to be honest, I can see the apps starting to install at 12:19 ish at 13:22. But there seems to be constant work going on during this time and nothing that jumps out as causing an issue.
Are the packages themselves big? IE the source files?
One thing you could do to speed the process up is to bundle them into your OS.wim, not always ideal but apps that don't need updating/patching and that are "core" apps can be handled like this. Just an option to reduce your build time. Also good practise to bundle the up to date MS patches in the wim also as these can take a looooong time to install.
Thanks for the input. That was going to be my last thing to try (adding apps directly to the wim). Thanks again...

Also the logs wont be of much use, grab the logs from the ccm\logs directory (speficically the Appdiscovery and APP enforce if these timeouts are due to slow Application installation rather than packages)
Here is a link to my Google docs with the logs you asked for...

Just a thought but have you tested each application and see if they actually work and complete in a timely manner in the OS? If theyre timing out id say there is an issue with the applications. Maybe test each application at at time, then add them back to the TS one by one and see what happens.
Good thinking, yes they install fine when not in the TS

I renamed the pxeboot.com and pxeboot.n12 in my test environment from the link that SCCMentor provided. I only have Task Sequences deployed as Available and it worked great. A very small but useful change!
Of course, Herwin's suggestion also works.
We have done the same thing. All works great for us! We also have done this for required TS as well. We only use required for unknown devices though.

Have you tried rebuilding the task sequence?
I have copied the task sequence, I have removed all the tasks and added them again, but I have not started from scratch. I will try that and report back. Thanks for the tip! I am out right now but will test first thing in the morning. Please excuse my delayed response.

Hello Everyone!
Here's the skinny...
We are using Sccm 2012 R2 CU5 to deploy a TS that contains Windows 7 x64 and several Install Application tasks. We have been using the same TS for a year now with no issues. All of the sudden, the TS has been taking 6+ hours to complete, and is successful. We were able to image about 4000 laptops with no issue last summer. This summer we have 8000 to image and would take us years to complete at this rate.
I have Googled the issue and tried several steps, that is how we ended up on CU5, to no avail. The OS deploys fine, but when the Install Application task starts each app runs till the timeout is reached then moves on to the next application in the list. The application does install correctly and works fine. The strange thing is, 2 machines started at the same time one will move along normally and the other will "stick". I am at a loss right now. Is there someone out there that has "fixed" this issue before, or do I need to pay the $500 and call Microsoft support?
I have attached the log files for 2 different computers. The 1st is one that was in the middle of the image (Running for 2 hours so far). The second set is from a finished image that completed after running for about 5 hours.

Ok, I think I fixed my issue.
I was reading another thread and it was talking about the registry string RamDiskTFTPBlockSize. I had to lower my setting to 2048 instead of 8192 (I tried 4096 but it still did not work). I am wondering if the NIC cannot handle that block size.
Does this make since to any one?

enable command support in your boot wim, then redistribute your boot images to the dp, once done, pxe boot again, and immediatly after pressing F12, once WinPE loads, press F8, then grab the logs from x:\windows\temp\smstslog\smsts.log
I tried these instructions and after repeatedly pressing F8, the command prompt does not show. I know this is enabled because it works on other models just not this one. I have loaded the drivers several times and still no go. I did notice that upon PXE boot the version shows 2.1.1.1 and my driver version is 2.1.1.27. Is this an issue or am I looking in the wrong place?
Thanks!!

anyweb,
I had not seen that before. Thanks!!

Do you need to run the R2 CU3 - Server Update - <sitecode> update on all distribution points or just the client update?
-
In ConfigMgr you have to start using task sequence variables. In this case your script has to create and set the OSDComputerName variable to your computer name,
Thank You so much for your help! I will check this out and let you know how it goes...

I am moving from WDS to SCCM 2012 for OSD. I have the image ready and deploys very nicely. The one thing that we need to do is, change the computer name based on the serial number. We set all of our names with the asset tag in the name. We have a DB that we scan all Serials, Asset Tags, Computer Name in.
For example:
Asset Tag: XXXXX
Serial Number: 123456
Would have a computer name: LC0D401TO1XXXXX
When using WDS we did this after the OS was installed using a bat file (code below). Now when doing this in SCCM 2012, the name either will not change or the computer will be deleted from the domain.
Any help would be great!!
set newMN= cscript.exe \\file_Location\inventory-sn.vbs //nologo %computername%>c:\install\machsn.txt FOR /f %%p IN (c:\install\machsn.txt) DO SET machisn=%%p find /c /i ",%machisn%," \\file_location\MNs.txt FOR /f "tokens=1,2,3 delims=," %%q in ('findstr /s %machisn% \\File_Location\MNs.txt') DO SET newMN=%%s SET MACHNAME=%newMN% NETDOM RENAMECOMPUTER %newMN% /NewName:%MACHNAME% /userD:domain\user /PasswordD:**** /FORCE

Hi!
When I add a new win7 wim file and the executive "distribute content", is created in C:\ SMSPKGSIG new folder (for example PRI00014.1). Copying process is interrupted and win7.wim size is 20MB !?
If I try to execute this win7.wim "Shedule Updates". I get the response "Failed to copy the image from the package source location to the siteserver machine."
OfflineServicingMgr.log:
There is an image associated with this schedule.
Total number of individual updates to be installed is 90.

The problem is probably here:
Package source location for image GS000015 is not writable. GLE=5
What rights and where to be?

Update:
Create a new sharing folder. I gave the right to sharing and security rights of every all / full. Began to work well. Lack of understanding of how SCCM authenticate. Although SCCM admin users and SCCM server account is given full rights.
Update2:
Sharing Permission change to Everyone to full controll.
Interestingly, with an account sccm2012 the authorization? Maybe the system!
I had this same issue. I found that I had to change the share permissions to get this to work. I started by adding "Everyone" with Full access but since changed it to "SYSTEM" account has full control and all is good...
