  1. Hi I have a number of user that have access to Remote Access Tool as a Security Roles All works fine though these users are unable to use the device afinity and cannot look up the primary device. These work under my account. I came across the following post which shows the exact same problem https://social.technet.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/51659f92-0c37-4c28-b60a-f6aa6ee7f134/role-based-administration-interaction-with-user-device-affinity These user did not have the, All systems collection associated to them so I added that in and removed the other, so now they have All Users Groups and All Systems though unlike the link above this does not sort the problem out for me my SCCM version is 2012 r2 SP1 CU1 Any thoughts how I can fix this? Also I seen that I could use the Configuration Manager 2012 SP1 Toolkit to edit RBA but I cannot find this tool Thanks in Advance John
  2. could'nt agree more on the course.. but it was an yes tick on my CV. Take a screen shot of your TS and I'll compare it to mine. OSD is the major strength of SCCM when you get your head around it.
  3. I'm sort of in the same boat I'm relatively new to SCCM but moved from ZCM recently so I have a good understanding of imaging. I suspect it all depends how involved your deployments need to be? there are some guides on this forum of TS for OSD. http://ccmexec.com http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/7075.system-center-2012-configuration-manager-survival-guide.aspx of course this site. Its taken me 2 months to be completely happy with my windows 8.1 and 7 OSD TS. Also don't think there are any preconfigured TS for you to tinker with, not that I've seen anyway. There certainly weren't any on the MS SCCM course
  4. Hi we have a relatively new SCCM 2012 r2 SP1 deployment at our council. problem is that some of our machines do not report back with there hardware scan. Software scans complete fine with out any problem and I can view the information from them. I was thinking that our Max File Size in SMS_Software_Inventory_processor need adjusting to 50 mb as I've seen a need of sites talk about this but it seems to be set to 50mb which should be fine. The devices are coming back with the following errors in inventoryprovider.log GetObjectAsync - Error handling request, 8004100f I've attached the inventoryprovider and inventoryagent logs to this post. This all just seems very odd cause it only seems to be a select few machines that all work in our development team so is it possible its something configured and installed on their machine that would cause this. Thanks in advance john InventoryAgent.log InventoryProvider.log
