  1. Is there a way to test a package without having to actually do the build using the same context as if you were running the task sequence on existing build? You could launch litetouch.vbs from within the MDT to then run a simple task sequence. Gives you an idea if it will work prior to running through a whole build. Anything similar to this? Thanks.
  2. Here is my dilemma. Built a Windows 7 x64 image using MDT 2012 Capture/sysprep task sequence. I understand that the copy profile takes place during the deployment and not during the capture? Is that correct? If that is the case when importing my Image into SCCM 2012 do I create a new answer file for my image or do I import the answer file created in the MDT 2012 during capture/sysprep? If the copy profile takes place during the capture then do I need to use an answer file over at all and just let SCCM 2012 generate it's answer file by default? My image has all the custom settings I want baked in already and mainly using the answer file for the copy profile. I am building a fresh image now and before bringing this image back into SCCM wanted to make sure I do everything correctly. Thanks hope to prevent any more headaches. Dave
  3. That's what I needed. If you could just sit by me at work for about a month I would be in good shape.
  4. This is a formatted HD and using CD/DVD to boot to ISO created from boot image. Loads a cmd prompt with network connectivity and stops?
  5. OK. I am very frustrated hope someone can quickly point me in the right direction. First I am new using SCCM 2012 OSD, have been using the MDT for image deployment the last few years. Our company has decided to go a different direction and looking to consolidate and leaning to SCCM for image deployment. I started out with creating a new windows 7 ent. x86 and x64 default image. I used the MDT capture sequence from VM with a pause to customize my image and the answer file to copy profile. Had some growing pains here but after creating a new answer file in SCCM and just using the copy profile option since my image is already customized with all my changes. I just need the answer file to copy the admin profile to default profile. My problem is I can't get my VM to boot to the task sequence wizard. My VM will boot to a command prompt but that's as far as it goes. I do have network connectivity. I can get a valid IP address. Is there a way to map a netowrk drive and run and launch the TS wizard maunally like you could in the MDT? I am using the SCCM 2012 windows PE(x86) boot image loaded with VMNET3x nic drivers. Created an iso using makewinpemedia /iso and set my VM to boot to DVD. What am i doing wrong that i can't boot directly to the TS wizard and select a task sequence? If i could get to this point I could test my image. thanks for your help.
