  2. Hi Tobi and anyweb Thx for your help I've got everything working now Only I have one more question maybe you have a sollution for this We use now "Windows server 2003 and IIS 6" at our site system In the past we used SMS on windows server 2003 And there it was necessary to use the "Lockdown feature that is integrated into IIS" to run the URLScan 2.5 to apply UrlScan.ini (provided in the sms2003 toolkit) to reduce the exposure of IIS to potential Internet attacks Is this still necessary in sccm 2007 and if so how to do that Regards, J
  3. Thx 100 times I manage to fix it the problem was indeed DNS related Tip : I struggled with the capture I tried to capture form the Import Microsoft Deployment task sequence => client task sequence That is default not possible If you create this task sequence and inside this task sequence you want to capture the wim image then the task sequence skips this step by deafult Solution Edit the task sequence you created with Import Microsoft Deployment task sequence => client task sequence Goto Type group Capture the reference machine => options => there you will find a condition => that's why the capture from "Import Microsoft Deployment task sequence => client task sequence" didn't succeeded Better solution is to capture ( like you did in your documentation) form the task sequence "build and capture a reference operating system image Then you don't have that problem I had Regards J
  4. Thx anyweb I was a bit lost and I didn't now what to check anymore I will test that on friday I will post the solution here Regards, J
  5. Hi All Some additional information about my capture problem In the tasksequence I didn't add the computer to the domain => so I capture from workgroup => I hope that is not necessary that the computer must be added to the domain I used the normal XP sp3 version not a volume licence version Regards, J
  6. Hi All I am trying to capture XP I followed all the manuals provided at this forum everything seems to be working But at the end of my task sequence build and capture a reference operating system I receive an error with error code 080070005 and process stops and system reboots ( after 15 minutes) I've added the smsts.log file maybe someone can help me with this error Thanks Regards J smsts.log
  7. Hi Indead it is very strange I installed Sccm on my first server and it was not needed Afterwards I started all over to check if the documents I've created where correct and then I needed to add this future ! Below you find the link http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/350/install...bdav-on-iis-70/ Regards, J
  8. Thx again One more question We (my company) don't want to use the Wsus functionality now So I don't install this future now but maybe in the future we will use this I don't think I have problems when I don't install this future ( someone told me today that it is necessary to install this WSUS future that otherwise it is not possible to install this future later) Regards, J
  9. Hi Anyweb and professor I had the same problem I solved this with the following maybe this also helps you If you are using Windows Server 2008, you need to install the Desktop Experience feature. To do so, use the following steps: Start the Windows Server Manager. In the tree view, highlight the Features node. In the details pane, click Add Features. In the Add Features Wizard, check the Desktop Experience box, and then click Next. Click Install. When the Add Features Wizard has finished, click Close. Click Yes when promoted to restart the computer Regards, J
  10. Hi All I have a short question I installed everything on my testlab everything works perfect thx for the good help/manuals on this forum I've installed SCCM 2007 in my test lab on server 2008 and everything works perfect I also managed to deploy XP Vista and also server 2008 But my boss told me today that sccm 2007 needs to be installed on server 2003 ( I am not happy with that but ...) Can I still use the same documention provided on this forum for everything installation and deploying of OS (xp vista and Server) I believe that the only change is IIS 6 (for server 2003) and the integrated webdav installation , instead of IIS7 (for server 2008) and the installation of the new webdav (download from the internet) Regards, J
  11. WDS PXE Filter

First of all thanks for all the excellent documents about SCCM and Client deployment I have one question about the PXE filter I want to edit WDS PXE Filter, I edit the PXEfilter.vbs by adding SCCM site code and SCCM collection ID and the username and save the file sProviderServer = "WIN-SCCMServer" sSiteCode = "MEN" sNamespace = "root\sms\site_" & sSiteCode sUsername = "Administrator" sPassword = "*********" sCollection = "SMS00001" ' This must be a collection ID, not a collection name I have some questions about the above sUsername = can I use the network access account here , or what rights does this account need sPassword = what are the consequences If I do not fill in the password sCollection = What collection ID do I need to fill in here Regards, J
