I recently captured a custom Windows 10 image (.wim) Added in workbench as available operating system. During the MDT Deployment Wizard, the computer name is auto populated in correct format, per the set rule in the deployment share. Once the system is done imaging, it somehow loses that correctly assigned name and is assigned the WIN-XXXXX. (XXXX) represent a random name. I am not sure where it is pulling the random name. It is not the serial number. Rule is set not to exceed 15 characters. Serial Number does not exceed that. Anyone have any suggestions? Been struggling with this for two days now.
