  1. We have recently been using Software updates in SCCM 2007 R2 and I ran into Scan error 2147023838 (BITS dissabled) we created a job to enable and start BITS some went to automatic and some manual. We have not had all of them successfully change yet. The ones that have updated I have went in and looked at the services now most that say started and manual on the BITS service now are throwing the Scan Error 2147024891 ( Bits Access Denied). We even had some with 2147219822 ( Group Policy Conflict) we resolved that issue and now those are throwing the Scan Error 2147024891 ( Bits Access Denied). Any Ideas?
  2. We have been using Software Updates in SCCM a short time now. We have ran into a few issues with the Detection State Unknown message. We resolved some by Starting Automatic windows Updates. We still have some machines that give us this message in our reports, but when we check the machines windowsupdate.log it shows that updates were installed. Anything else I need to look for to solve this issue?
  3. So, if they aren't pointing to a WSUS server, that means that they won't get updates from the Internet as well, correct?
  4. We had to have our Sys Admin team set a GPO to enable Automatic Updates Service , which caused computers to receive updates we had scheduled through software updates in SCCM. We saw that our updates went successfully, but we don't have anything pointed to a WSUS server. That being said, the Sys Admin team said that those computers could receive updates from the Internet and so we weren't sure if that would affect what we are trying to send. What I'm trying to figure out is, what do we need to do to make sure that these computers receive and install updates from SCCM, but not the internet or anywhere else?
