  1. I just tried this and still get this message when I try and perform the ConfigMgr Setup on the SCCM server.
  2. Good afternoon/evening, I am trying to move my SCCM database from it's current server to another server, one that has W2K3 so that I can provide all the management style graphs. I have gone step by step through the guide by wmmayans: http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/693-guide-moving-your-site-database but I am receiving the error message: "could not connect or execute sql query." I have tried various things online granting both servers new and old admin rights on each server as well as this suggestion here: http://www.peppercrew.nl/?p=920 Nothing has worked as of yet, should I just scrap the server and build the SCCM server from scratch, which is what I read some where online. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  3. Curses to you Microsoft. SHAKING FIST, latest log says I don't have admin rights after enabling File & Printer sharing on workstation. I don't know why domain admin account is getting access denied, I thought file and printer sharing was the reason it couldn't connect to the share. I wish I knew what little thing I was overlooking since I can only deploy to 1 out 150+ workstations, I even got desparate enough to set the client to install under the admin account once logged in. I logged in and the client still didn't log in when I did that. ccm.log
  4. Check traffic is going to and from on both sides.
  5. I finally got Firefox to "install" but I don't see it anywhere on the computer, I don't see any extra features in Control Panel to signify that the client is even installed. I updated the collection in SCCM and it doesn't show the computer name with agent installed either, didn't know a package could be installed without client being installed. I do have CCMEXEC.EXE still in the task manager but after 2 restarts I still don't see the application installed. ccmsetup.log
  6. I seem to be having some trouble getting the client to install on my test workstation, which in turn gives me problems when trying to install Firefox. I can provide any logs that can be of any help if someone let's me know which one to attach. The machine shows assigned within SCCM with a site code as well, the problem is probably some how connected to the fact I am unable to RDP to the workstation.
  7. Well I have gotten past those error messages because they have not generated an error since this morning, new issue is that not all my workstations are showing up under Collections All Systems. Is there a way to force the systems to update or rescan for them specifically.
  8. Just checked my warning/alert logs and had 3 different ones: SMS Client Configuration Manager cannot connect to the machine. The OS reported error 1203. No network provider accepted the given path. SMS Component Status Summarizer set the status of component SMS Client Config Manager running on computer to critical. SMS Component Status Summarizer detected that component SMS Client Config Manager running on computer has reported 50 or more Warning status messages.
  9. The network SCCM is installed on doesn't have a firewall it is a closed network.
  10. I seem to keep having the ongoing issue of not being able to add any servers or workstations into SCCM, only one server shows up the one SCCM is installed on.
  11. First happy to be here at the forum, I saw that thread, but it said it was for W2K8 and I am using W2K3 so I just disregarded the posting.
  12. I just finished fumbling through the SCCM 2007 install on W2K3, last week we were going to go with SMS but that got scraped Friday and company decided to go with SCCM. I have no background with SCCM, during the install I received about 3 different warning messages that popped up. I am using the "guide" on Microsoft's site: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb694062.aspx I was wondering if there was a more comprehensive one or one that is more straightforward. I would like a comprehensive one so that I know the reasoning behind all the steps I am taking, but if there isn't one I will gladly take one that just says go here type this hit enter. If that is the case I can read up on why things are the way they are after SCCM is up and operational, I hear about people finding guides on the site but my searching hasn't been successful as of yet. It seems like based on the site I should just install W2K8 since there is a lot more assitance for it than W2K3. I have been searching on Google for every issue that comes up, navigating through all the expert-exchange sites that try and get you to pay for everything I finally found this site.
