  1. Back in the office. Will apply the admin template and see what I can do. I'll let you know.
  2. Wow ! Of course I see this after I left the job. A reboot is required? Damn damn damn.
  3. All, Majority of the workstations out here already have the SCCM agent installed. It's just that the agent is pointing to a non-existent server from a previously failed SCCM installation from a couple of years ago. I went to one of these machines, went START > Control Panel > Config. Manager > Advanced > Discover...and it automatically found the new SCCM server and was shortly updated within the ConfigMgr. Now, is there a way to do this remotely? I was told to push the agents out again with: ccmsetup.exe /mp:MPNAME SMSSITECODE=XXX but that doesnt seem to do anything at all. Is there another way of doing this via command line?
  4. I want to say that it's a conflict between local and group policy. But I'm not sure what to look for. This server is pretty much running in complete stealth mode. Nothing on the network can see it. Example, if I'm on the server, and connect to another workstation\server share...the other machine won't know that I'm on there. If you look at active sessions, the machine doesn't show up.
  5. Lots of changes based on the Strengthing Guide recommended by Microsoft on locking down Win2k8. This is a government environment, and has strict guidelines regarding STIGs. But the thing is...everything was working for the first week or 2, then all of a sudden, the server locked itself all the way up. All the services locked up, turned themselves off, and had access denied, so we couldnt enable anything. We had to take a Security Template from another server, apply it to this to turn everything back on again. But I have a feeling that some of the things are still locked.
  6. I'm working with a newly built Win2K8 x64 server. It was locked down with a number of changes added to the security policy. Just recently, no other machine can ping or browse to the server. It is joined to the domain, but you cannot ping it, browse to it, or anything. Have no clue what to do. This wasn't always the case, but just started to happen. From the server, I can see everything, ping anything, connect to intranet/Internet. The server purpose is IIS/SQL2K5/SCCM. Doesn't do too well if nothing out there can see the server... I believe this has to deal with local security and global security. I've never dealt with 2K8, so not sure what to check. I was going to turn the Windows firewall on, but it's disabled, and the service hay depends on, Base Filtering is also disabled. Thoughts??
  7. All, I have a Windows 2008 x64 Enterprise, SQL 2005 SP3, IIS 7, and SCCM SP1 installed. All the components seem to be installed, but now I'm having MP issues. Seem to get the http 500 errors. I've done the following to remediate, but still nothing. - Uninstall & Install MP - Uninstall MP, Uninstall IIS, Reinstall IIS, Reinstall MP - Run 32bit command on IIS to work in 64 mode. Nothing. I know I was having WebDAV issues at first, but I followed the guide and configured it, and the earlier WebDAV errors went away. Before I corrected those issues, the MP wouldn't install. But now that the WebDAV is configured, the MP installed. Now...it's just these http 500 errors.
  8. This is a 2003 server, so you don't have to do too much WebDAV configuration except to Allow all webdav extensions within IIS.
  9. I'm still getting those 401 errors dealing with State Migration Point and Management Point.
  10. "IIS mode is in 64-bit mode. Even though this is a 32-bit application, this is not compatible" Disregard. Seems when I was installing SCCM onto this server, IIS reverted back to 64-bit mode at some point. I ran the command successfully. So waiting for all the roles to install back. Can I force that? Or should I just wait it out? Usually attempts to reinstall the roles back 1x an hour. We are moving in the right direction, so I'm Thoughts?
  11. Yeah that's my issue. The way to configure WebDAV in 2008 is totally different within 2003. Doesn't carry over at all.
  12. All, Experienced SMS 2003 person, but now I'm building new SCCM 2007 in a closed environment. I followed the SCCM 2007 / Server 2008 guide, and the installation appeared to have went fine. Couple of steps that I couldn't perform due to the Server 2008 exclusive portions, including configuring IIS and WebDAV. I'm having all sorts of IIS, MP issues. When I check the event logs and the SCCM logs, I'm getting a bunch of 401 errors. I believe this has to deal with the IIS and WebDAV not being configured properly. In fact, I didn't do ANY configurations for IIS or WebDAV, except by going into IIS > Web Service Extensions and allowing WebDAV. Any assistance?
