  1. I have another question, When I have both SCCM 2007 and 2008 running PXE always goto SCCM 2007 box. can anyone please let me know how I can force the clients to PXE from SCCM 2012, while the SCCM 2007 is on (how to control where the client go fo PXE)? Note: If I turn off the SCCM 2007 box then the clients woul PXE from SCCM 2012 box.
  2. Thanks for the reply guys, I removed the AD boundry and assigned IP ranges. now clients seems to know where to go.
  3. Hi Guys, I was running SCCM 2007 before I wanted to upgrade to SCCM 2012. I have set up AD as the boundary for both sites. My problem is: In some SCCM 2007 clients, SCCM 2012 site code (P01) comes up in the config manager client (advance Tab) even after reimaging from SCCM 2007. In all of the SCCM 2007 client’s Location service.log I can see the SCCM 2012 site (P01). Why is PXE always defaults to SCCM 2007 when I have the both servers on? If I turn off the SCCM 2007 then it will go to SCCM2012. What’s the best way to force the clients to use a specific site, when you have 2 sites setup? Thanks.
  4. Hi Guys, Please help me with this issue. At my work we have a central site plus 3 site servers and one fall back server for SCCM. today suddenly the fall back server and one of the site server giving me an error saying "SMS Site System Status Summarizer could not access storage object "\\PTCSCCM2\C$\SMS" on site system "\\PTCSCCM2". The operating system reported error 2147944309: The referenced account is currently locked out and may not be logged on to." in the Site system status. In the central site server there were three errors in the Site status fisr one: SMS management point encountered an error when connecting to the database SMS_PTA on SQL Server PTCSQLP2. The OLEDB error code was 0x80004005. then after 5 mins, the second one: MP Control Manager detected management point is not responding to HTTP requests. The HTTP status code and text is 500, Internal Server Error. then soon after this error: MP Control Manager detected DMP is not responding to HTTP requests. The http error is 12152. Possible cause: DMP service is not started or not responding on all DMP physical machines. I have recreated the MP on the Central site server, but the errors are still there (the ststus hasn't updated since 1pm now it's 7.30 pm here). all the other site server are green I have checked the Network access account , and it's not locked in AD. Has anyone seen this before? please help.

  9. Hi Guys, We have 3 remote site servers, and I was wondering if there is a way to schedule the DP updates, so the DPs would update after work hours. The reason is we have a slow link to those servers and don’t want to use the whole bandwidth for the Site servers during work hours. Thanks in advance.
  10. Hi This link worked for me (http://www.windows-n...ibution-points/) it removed the DP from applications. but in the site status(please see the attached screenshot) I still have an error for that obsolete server. Any Idea, why? Thanks.

  13. Guys, I am getting this error on my SQL box(2005) eventlog described at this link http://www.bhcblog.com/2009/10/08/fix-for-login-failed-for-user-the-user-is-not-associated-with-a-trusted-sql-server-connection/ the client is one of the remote site servers for SCCM 2007. I have tried creating the "DisableLoopBackckeck" registry fix on the client machine ( remote SCCM site server). but I am still getting this error in my SQL server event log. any ideas how to fix this? Thanks.
  14. Can we still link collections with AD groups to deploy applications with 2012?
  15. Hi Guys We had 4 site servers and recently we deconditioned one server. I have removed this server from the Site systems list after removing all the roles that was on the server. The problem is, application packaged still have this DP (DP used to be on that server) listed under the package DP points. When I try to go to Manage Distribution points and try to delete the package from that DP, the DP is not listed in there. And also in the Site System Status SMSPXEIMAGES$ is listed there for that server. Anyone knows how to fix this problem? Thanks.
  16. guys, I want to ask you guys a quick question. I am trying to import some drivers into SCCM to create a driver package for a new laptop model. problem is when I do that it only import certain drivers and the rest of them says "Selected driver has already been imported at this site". if they have already imported how do I find them and include them to the newley created driver package. 19. Hi Guys, I have a strange one here, in my office we use XP and use SCCM to deploy images. but somethimes randomly the task sequence stops in the middle and the computer boots up without connecting to the domain. the sequence failes at "Setup windows and ConfigMgr" after this step, when the computer restarts it's not joined to the domain(mind you this is totaly random)and could happen with any model of PCs we use. managed to grab the SMSTS.log from one of the failed PCs (attached) any help would be great. Thanks. smsts.log
