  1. Phunky Monkey, Just came across the same issue, in my case I changed the site code entry to the new site code and restarted SMS Agent Host service. The client is now showing up as installed in the console. Thanks for the tip!
  2. Had a similar requirement and could not get to grips with Activesetup so this was a better solution for me. This is such a brilliant site. Thanks!
  3. An update: I deleted the managements points on two of the secondary sites where the clients hardware and software inventories were not appearing in the database, now it's working. I am now seeing the inventory being collected. I am not sure why it's working now and whether it's ok to add the management points back. Any advice would be appreciated.
  4. Hello Eswar I am still trying to resolve this issue! I have just dug out an old email from previous sysadmin who implied that the issue is to do with a mismatch in serial numbers between the site control file and the records in the SiteControl table within SQL. There were also a lot of delta records created in the SiteControl table for the serial number when there should only be 1 master and 1 delta. Unfortunately the sysadmin did not document the fix! How can I clean up the SiteControl table so that the hardware and software inventory is added to the database. Naz
  5. Here's a relevant section from dataldr.log on the primary site server for a 'problem' PC: Thread: 11812 will use GUID GUID:E3ACA55B-8839-42A4-9C3C-6E5173C7015F SMS_INVENTORY_DATA_LOADER 31/03/2011 11:21:25 11812 (0x2E24) Processing Inventory for Machine: PC53603 Version 1.94 Generated: 02/03/2011 10:25:55 SMS_INVENTORY_DATA_LOADER 31/03/2011 11:21:25 11812 (0x2E24) Pragma delete found in inventory group MICROSOFT|SYSTEM_CONSOLE_USAGE|1.0. Sorry I have very little experience of SCCM.
  6. Thanks for the quick response Peter. Schedule is set to run every day for both hardware and software inventory client agents. The max custom MIF file size is set to 250KB. Please let me know if you require any other information.
  7. I have one primary site and several secondary sites at remote offices. On a couple of the remote sites, I am not getting hardware or software inventory from any clients except the site server itself. There is nothing in the resource explorer for any of the clients. The client on the site server was installed manually but pushed out from the console InventoryAgent.logto PCs and laptops for the site. I have attached the inventoryagent log for one of the clients. Could someone help with this? Thanks Naz
  8. Managed to sort this out by resetting the iusr & iwam accounts passwords again in ADUC. Now I am able to install MP & FSP on secondary site server. Cheers Naz
  9. I am trying to install a Management Point on a SCCM 2007 secondary site server and I am getting the errors in SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER. See below. MP Control Manager detected DMP is not responding to HTTP requests. The http status code and text is 401, Unauthorized. Possible cause: DMP encountered an error when connecting to SQL Server. Solution: Verify that the SQL server is properly configured to allow Device Management Point access. If using a standard SQL security account, verify that the SQL Server is configured to allow standard SQL Security; or configure the Device Management Point to use an NT integrated security account, with appropriate access. If using integrated security, verify the account used by the DMP to connect to the SQL server is a member of the SMS_SiteSystemToSQLConnection_<sitecode> group on the SQL server, that the account is not locked out, and that the account password is not expired. (In standard security, the default account is SMS_SQL_RX_<sitecode>.) Possible cause: The SQL server Service Principal Names (SPNs) are not registered correctly in Active Directory Solution: Ensure SQL server SPNs are correctly registered. Review Q829868. Possible cause: Internet Information Services (IIS) isn't configured to listen on the ports over which SMS is configured to communicate. Solution: Verify that the designated Web Site is configured to use the same ports which SMS is configured to use. Possible cause: The designated Web Site is disabled in IIS. Solution: Verify that the designated Web Site is enabled, and functioning properly. Possible cause: The SMS ISAPI Application Identity does not have the requisite logon privileges. Solution: Verify that the account that the SMS ISAPI is configured to run under has not been denied batch logon rights through group policy. For more information, refer to Microsoft Knowledge Base article 838891. I have had issues installing FSP & MP previously and I have reset passwords for IUSR & IWAM accounts and resynched them to IIS metabase. This is the sixth secondary site server that I have installed and the others are all working ok. Can anyone help with this problem Thanks Naz Jiwani
