Hi, i tried to run a task sequence. this sequence works perfect without USMT. when i use USMT 4 i get a error message after one minute saying error code 0x00004005 during the running action: Release User State Storage. I tried different things but nothing helped.. See the smsts.log attatched Maybe some of you can help me Andy smsts.log

No new policies, even after a restart... yesterday i tried to uninstall/install the client again, but it didnt solve the problem either. Any other suggestions i can try... Startet the sms Agent service again.. but no help i really appriciate your help Andi

Site code in the setting is right. When i initate the two policies it says that it will take some minutes (as usually) but nothing happens!? Could there be wrong settings in the bios that there are these problems? In the sccm console the problem pc is marked with no client and not approved.. interessting problem, isnt it?! Andi

Thanks for the fast help.. here are the log files... ccmsetup log looks fine. installation succeded.. i m a real beginner in sccm so can you tell me what you mean with discover the sitecode and the boundaries? How can i look after this things? We have a lot of Pc´s in our domain and there are only 2 which dont work? interessing, isnt it? Hi everyone, we have about 300 Pc´s in our SCCM 2007 System. They are working all good, but 2 Pc´s have problems installing the client correctly. On the client in the action tab i m only seeing to items: Machine Policy and User Policy. It is working on all other pc but these two. Its Windows 7 and the machines are exactly the same like the others. We are using an image to setup our new Pc`s. I tried to reinstall the client but its always the same? Any suggestions what i can do? Thanks Andi

Hi everyone, i have a bunch of questions: i have a problem with some computerclients in my collections. It shows me that the client is not installed and that this computer is not approved. The PC is standing right beside my normal pc and i see in the control panel that the sccm client is installed. I can also initate the actions in the sccm window on this pc. i have already update the collection a few times and made a refresh but these PCs are always signed with a NO and N/A. Yesterday i made a deployment on such a PC and it worked so there must be a mistake. Also, i deployed that update (Adobe Reader in that case) and it installed the software 16 hours later... can i speed up that deployment progress? I initate the actions on the PC but, as i said, it took 16 hours. Next question: We have a lot of laptops which are not that often in our domain. The SCCM is deleting obsolete PC after a while. I have a collection called Laptops. My question now is, when these Laptops are deleted and the user is using it again in the domain again, how long will it take that that Laptop is in the Laptop Collection again and will the advertisments of this collection will start immediatly? Next Question: I want to see if a deployment is already installed on all pc i wanted to deploy. I know there is a report for it, but if i have, lets say 6 deployments at a time, do i need to open a report for each deployment? Two days ago, i deployed a program and its still not finished, cause the status is "waiting" or "No status". So what to do in that case? Next question: We installed the SCCM server when we had only XP Clients in our domain. Now we switched to Windows 7 and the result is that we have douple PCs in the collections. Like the name for the XP machine was ABC001 and now its ABC7001. How long will it take that that "old" machine which dont exists anymore wont show up in the collections? Do i have to delete them manually? What if i rename a PC, its showing the two PCs too?! Will that be changed/deleted automaticly?! I know, that are a lot of questions, but i think for you guys it will be a easy task Thanks Andy
