  1. No one at all? OK looks I'm going with installing OSD and configuring on the CAS. Thanks, Barry
  2. Hi All, quick question, with SCCM 2007 we have the Master Primary site configured for OSD / MDT etc. Now with SCCM2012 we are looking at 1xCAS > 1xPrimary > multiple Distribution points. I would go with installing OSD etc on the Primary site but that leads me to the question, what do we do is we have to add more Primary sites as that primary site is not the Master server it is the CAS but from what I have read the CAS is just the data manager. So how would we replicate and OSD TS out to DP's that have a different Primary? Or is that a non issue? Thanks, Barry
  3. Hi All, I have a working USB media deployment but need to add the install updates offline task as this is for a remote office. I have added the Task in the Post Install section after my Driver installs but before the Setup Windows and ConfigMgr e.g. Use Toolkit Package > Install Upates Offline > Setup Windows and ConfigMgr. as per previous posts by AnyWeb. I also tried it before the Driver installs but recieve the same error attached, I have no EXE's in the patch package they are all CAB files, any ideas? Thanks, Barry
  4. Hi, in the event that anyone else gets stuck with this, I found the problem. If you are using SCCM with MDT integration with the database configured ENSURE you set UILanguage to en-US. My Database entry was set to en-GB which obviously the OS install did not know what this strange language could be so it was prompting for the language selection. Anyhow it is now running with no prompt, its a small setting but this may save you time and effort Cheers, Barry
  5. Hi, no one add language packs? I have been told the I'm missing the default language in the OOBE section, but on checking my Unattend.XML the OOBE pass has the relevant settings in place. I actually recieve a Windows Setup dialogue box with the languages, there must be a way to supress this? Thanks, ~Barry
  6. Check the log, you are not even getting that far, it is failing at Setup Windows and Config Manager: Set command line: "C:\_SMSTaskSequence\Packages\DOM00038\SOURCES\SETUP.EXE" "/unattend:C:\_SMSTaskSequence\unattend.xml" /noreboot That is erroring out with error 31. I would check the pakcage DOM00038 in the first instance. Barry
  7. Hi, Perhaps this users experience and solution may help, http://www.eggheadcafe.com/software/aspnet/31777018/wdspxetftp-access-violation-error-message-on-windows-server-2008.aspx Barry
  8. Hi All, Have a Win 7 enterprise (SP1) WIM that I injected the languages in to offline. Now when I deploy via SCCM after the image comes down I am prompted which of the 4 languages I would like to use as the default! Now I am using MDT2010 Update 1 integration, so the locales are set there, but also I checked the Settings package and the unattend.xml in there has the "Microsoft-Windows-International-Core-WinPE" and "Microsoft-Windows-International-Core" phases both populated with en-US which I would expect. So why am I being prompted for the language? Could it be the settings in the MDT database are incorrect and hence the unattend.xml file has been updated with a setting that setup does not like? But everything on the machine is set correctly, English UK TimeZone etc so I'm inclined to rule that out. Also the additional Languages are availble for me to select and use on the built machine, Any ideas? (I have looked at the one guide about changing KB layouts but that didn't help) Thanks, Barry
  9. Hi Guys, For future reference I have solved this issue. It would appear, for whatever reason, the Create TS Media process when doing the Win PE disk segment, did not like the %USERPROFILE$\temp directory. Even though this error and failure was consistent across 3 different servers, who all had plenty of disk space! Set user temp environment to a different Drive e.g. X:\Temp directory and it has worked. Cheers, Barry
  10. Hi, OK got the MP role added to the Cenral site but still get the same error! Error creating media. Error message is : Cannot create a file when that file already exists.. Please refer to CreateTsMedia.log to get details. This is highly frustrating to say the least must be something to do with our setup as no one else seems to have encountered this issue. Thanks, Barry
  11. Hi, Wonder if anyone can help, I'm trying to create task sequence media for Prestaged Media. I'm not doing this from our Central Pirmary site as it is not a Mangement Point (so don't get the option to create) so I am having to do this from a Primary site then pull the Bootdisk and WIM from one of the secondary sites. All seems to go well, pre stages the WIM then I hit an error when staging the boot image of all things from the createTSmedia.log: Error staging bootable WinPE (0x800700b7) Failed to create media (0x800700b7) CreateTsMedia failed with error 0x800700b7, details="" from the Admin GUI: Errors Error creating media. Error message is : Cannot create a file when that file already exists.. Please refer to CreateTsMedia.log to get details. I have recreated and redistributed the boot disks twice now but to no avail. I can create a Boot ISO with no problems! I found similar error messages but none that seem to relate to this. thanks, Barry
