Deployment Inconsistencies

Question

Hi all,

I've got a couple of programs out for distribution. One is Java, the other is Ghostscript. Now the Java installs fine, but the Ghostscript does not. This seems to be a download issue, but both programs are 'Installed' on the same DP, the folders are there, all the files contained within.

I deleted both packages and started afresh, to see if it was an issue with newly created packages. The results were the same, all looks fine but the Java installs yet the GS does not. It always gets to the "Execution Request for package ADM00009 program Ghostscript 8.53 state change from WaitingDependency to WaitingContent" stage and then stops.

Here's my client ExecMgr log:

If I set to run from DP, I get:

And nothing else.

Hm seems very strange. Can you look into the commandline in your install program for ghostscript.

Just verify that you spelled everything correct so that the commandline is executable from the DP share.

It all works manually, the command line is correct

Strange!

However all problems with SCCM are logical in the end smile.gif

Can you check this in the console:

post-2500-12803164094202_thumb.jpg

What source version does it say, and does it say installed?

It would also be good if we could look into your ccmexec.log

Would also be good to know if you have any custom files (files with non standard extensions) in your DP share for ghostscripts

In this case it could be BITS messing with you, denying you to copy some files.
