SCCM software deployment showing as “waiting”

Question

Had a few machines come up with the same issue. Running Windows7 Enterprise, clients installed and working, deploying apps and all fine then a stack of apps will not deploy, they will down load but will not ‘run’. In the Advertisement reports it shows Distribution State as “waiting”. Has anyone come across this issue and found a fix? Rebuilt the ones so far in the pilot, but moving to mass deployment so would like to fix.

Thanks for any help

This is most commnon situation in every environment .There may be scnearios with respect to boundaries or Distribution Points to ensure the package is avilable in DP's and BITS is enabled .Also computers may waiting for someother package to install or waiting to download the content before to start the installation.Check the client log files(particualry LocationServices.log to see where the client is looking for the packages ) for more information to see whats wrong.
