3rd party raid drivers in BDD 2007

Question

Hi,

I'm trying to configure BDD 2007 to do a LTI and have an adaptec raid card installed. I've added drivers for SATA drives as well as the RAID drivers to my $OEM$\TEXTMODE\ folder and modified the txtsetup.oem file in that folder to contain information for all the drivers. When I copy this directory to a floppy disk and run windows installation manually, I can manually load the drivers and windows PE will find my Raid array. However, when BDD tries to run Diskpart at the start of the LTI process, it does not have the raid array in it's list if disks. If I change my Diskpart.txt file to select a SATA disk that's not part of the raid array the deployment is successful, however I'd like to install the OS on the raid array. Any thoughts? I'll eventually need to include these files in my sysprep.inf as well so I can capture them in my image, but for now I'd be happy with my raid array being available to create a base WIM with. Below are is the relevant section of my unattended.txt file and my txtsetup.oem file. Any help you be much appreciated.

hi again,

please read this post first to get an idea of whether your values above are correct or not, the post references a different precision model, that does not matter, use the logic in the post !

when you try the bdd install apart from not seeing your raid array do you get any specific error ?

from looking at your provided files i think you may have specified the wrong file name or should be remming stuff out

as before read this first to get an idea of how to determine the best way forward

Hi,

Thanks for the prompt replies. I seem to have everything sorted out now. There was nothing wrong with my unattended.txt and txtsetup.oem files, I just hadn't updated by distribution point and rebuilt my boot CD after adding the extra drivers for the raid card. Stupid me! is it friday yet? :(

Anyway, thanks for the assistance.
