Windows Server 2008 R2 install fails me... over and over and over...

Guys will try to be as concise as possible.

 

For the last three days I have been trying to get the server install guide to work be each and every time I can't even get past the DC\DNS setup as all I get are errors. I have print screens of the errors that will follow below.

 

If anyone has seen this please help me as I need to get SCCM 2007 running to get familar for my job and at the moment I can't even get Server 2008 R2 to work other than run as an OS that has IE abilities!

What edition of Server 2008 R2 have you installed ??

Server 2008 R2 Enterprise SP1

I can reinstall a different one but that is what I thought was in the guide?

Update, I've tried now installed Server 2008 R2 Data Center and got the same errors... has this guide worked for everybody? I mean has no one seen this issue in VMWare?

What makes you think DC/DNS isn't working? The roles are listed. Roles install with warnings all the time. Can you browse the AD tree? Is Group Policy management available? DNS console?

 

What happens when you ping lab.local?

Because when I went to the next step both turned to red X's. I just wasn't able to post all the pictures at once as a limitation of being a new user.
