Windows 7 Sysprep does not ask for ComputerName, even WITHOUT answer file

Question

I have a PC I'm trying to capture an image of. Windows was setup and deployed with an SCCM 2012 OSD Task Sequence. When I sysprep it, the mini-setup asks for all the questions one would expect, except for the Computer Name. This occurs even with NO answer file at all. I've scoured the PC looking for any conflicting answer file, but have found none. What am I missing?

The more information you could provide about your setup and how you are attempting to run setup, the better we will be able to assist you. From the limited description of your process and the error you are encountering, I have to wonder if you are running sysprep with the /generalize switch. The generalize switch removes all system specific information, including the computer name, which would then cause Windows Welcome to prompt for computer name after reboot. More on how sysprep works can be found on from the Springboard Series on TechNet article here.
