SCCM 2012 task sequence deployment

Question

Good morning,

we created a task sequence, let's called it (install windows updates manual (type = application)) to manually trigger the patch process (if an admin needs to install patches outside of a maintenance window).

The problem we are facing is: if two users connected via terminal on a server, only the first user will see in the software center the task sequence (install windows updates manual). The second user won't see that or any task sequences (type = application). If the first users logged out from of the server the second user will see the task sequences.

Do you know if there is a command line command to trigger task sequences? If yes we could use PowerShell with a GUI to trigger the sequence and display some other information.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Martin

Good morning,

we have a normal automatic deployment of software updates here, what we try to achive is to start a "manual software update" process "controlled" by task sequence steps (already build). At the same gui we would like to show the administrator, who is going to install the patches, how many patches needs to be installed on the system and maybe add some additional information about the computer.

Best Regards,

Martin
