  1. Behold :| the Holy Grail ! I found out I hadn't set a DNS server address in my router for DHCP, changed this and everything goes as suspected, win7 got installed and I found a nice WIM file in de share where it was expected, Thank you for your analyses and for pointing me in the right direction
  2. Continuing in this great blog series I arrived to what seems the holy grail to me: deploying an image I use a VMware machone to PXE boot and this goed great, the boot image gets offered win PE starts and after waiting a while the SCCM intro screen even appears, but then the windows gets prepared and the network settings are set the VMware machine reboots please advice I read in the blog i need to add drivers to the bootimage for the standard VMware ethernetcard, can some explain how I do that
  3. Testing the CAS and P01 Hiarchy setup...as soon as I add the Application Catalog website point and Application Catalog web service point on the P01 they go into Critical status in the overview site status, i tried a clean try and followed the guide. Please advise This issue magically got resolved over night all green bullets in status site reports
  4. seems my sharing permissions weren't right for the \WSUS folder
  5. I should also note that when I donwload an update from the all software updates and go to the process, I get an error on downlaoding the update. It tells me error:access denied
  6. Hi, I'm new to SCCM and thanks to the guide provided here I managed to install and use sccm for testing fairly sucesfully until now. I could use some help with the windows updates deploying. I have created three device collections one with xp clients one with win2k8 servers and one for win7 clients. I have setup WSUS as in de guide provided here and my database is filled with software updates, however they are not downloaded yet. Then I went to the Software library and created an automatic deployment rule for the xp client collection. As criteria i chose severity as critical and important. What I don't understand is the setting in the deployment package and namely the package source. with WSUS in place i thought i had to set this to mij SCCM server \WSUS share as WSUS downloads the updates to this point. When I look at Monitoring Content status I can see that the XP updates packages has succesfully been distributed, but had 0 bytes. I fail to get the updates in the package but i can't understand why. Help is appreciated
  7. thnx man got it up and running all's healthy and all components OK CLients all have the client tried myself to figure it out but after three attempts I found this guide which helped me to set it up correctly
