  1. Hi all! In our multitannent environment we updated our CAS-server and all site servers to 1606. This succeded without any problems. When installing a new site server there is a error at the join the primary site to an existing hierachy. "Setup was unable to retrieve the software assurance settings for the speciefied central administration site server. Verify that you have entered the correct...." I tried to install 1511 and the setup accepts this screen, so connection to the CAS is no problem. This fails afcourse of a wrong CAS-server version. Prerequisit checker for the 1606 version also finisches succesfully. It doesn`t matter what I choose in the Product key screen.
  2. Dear readers, hope you can help me: Situation: - SCCM 2007 deploys Image to Wyse Thin Client - Thin Client is not a domain member - There is no WINS server available - Systems member of the domain are working en registering fine. - There is a second SCCM server on the network. - Site mode = Mixed Mode The configuration manager client is not configured for the SCCM MP. When installing the client by hand with these options: CCMSETUP.EXE /noservice /mp:x.x.x.x SMSSITECODE=XXX DNSSUFFIX=xxxx.local SMSCACHESIZE=32 In the General tab from the Manager there is no info for Connection Type, site mode etc.. What I tried: - Ping and samba between sccm server - client is OK - Auto discover is unsuccesfull - http://xxxxxx001/sms....sms_aut?mplist = OK from client, https is not possible - locationservices.log: Failed to resolve 'SMS_SLP' to IP address from WINS LSGetSLP : Failed to resolve SLP from WINS, is it published LSGetAssignedSiteFromSLP : Unable to get the list of SLPs - Client firewall turned off - Bounderies turned off - remade the schema extesion and settings are being populated fine again. - DNS service entry http://screencast.com/t/REJZTeOna - When I make the client a member of the domain it is registering itself in the MP.
  3. I found a way and it works pretty good. I use the post deployment scripts of SCCM. See this short guide: http://cloudsurvivalguide.com/sccm-2007-run-scripts-wyse-deployment/
  4. I`m looking for a way to install software or run scripts in the task sequence for our Wyse Z90D7 Thin Clients. Problem is that nothing runs anymore after the "Setup windows and ConfigMgr" task because of the sysprep scripts in the c:\windows\setup dir. I`m making a copy action from a software package to the root of the c-drive and than run scripts from the sysprep scripts. But easyer would be to do it in Tasks. Has anyone have an example or tips?
  5. Thanks! Solved the problem with this before reinstalling the PXE servicepoint and WDS
  6. I have a critical status for the distribution point role on a disk that is a swapfile partition for the server. And I want to get rid of it just for the aesthetic view of the Site System Status. Assuming that his status does no harm to this role
  7. This is a domaincontroller problem. If we remove the computer account from AD it works perfectly. If the solution is found ill post it here.
  8. Probably this is not a SCCM issue, maybe someone has solved it using SCCM. The task sequence does not join the domain while deploying an image. After install it is possible to join the domain with the same user used in the "Apply Network settings" task. We tried several accounts, also the special join domain account descibed her: http://scug.dk/blogs...h-sccm-osd.aspx. Where are deploying SCCM and in the first tests it worked, "something" happened I presume and after this the problem occured. - While deploying I tried to connect to the IPC$ share on the domain controllers in the Command Line Support without a problem for example. - The netsetup.log on the client shows no entry`s Thanks for reading!
  9. You also receive this error when you do not have configured a "network access account" under "Site Settings" \ "accounts" Follow these steps to configure one: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb632397.aspx
