  1. is this needed if DHCP and SCCM are on different computers? I moved them appart to keep working on this. as an update If i give it option 66 and 67 i can get it to start to PXE boot however I get abortpxe.com not the windows imageing? I have tried the clear required PXE deployment Ihave tried a new mac address, i have tried deleting and recreateing the imported computer entry. still stuck? Alex
  2. I did have it working but i was never sure why it started working. Since everyone else seems to have gotten it to work I was convinced i must have missed a step so i rebuilt the complete lab from scratch to see if i have made a mistake. Now i can not get the PXE to boot at all. i had a lot of problems the first time but somehow got it to work. now i get nothing. do i need to but the DHCP options in? this is a simple network with nothing fancy jsut layer two unmanaged switchs. some people say yes some say no. Any suggestions please !!
  3. I have spent at least 40 hours trying to get this PXE boot stuff to work. I have completely rebuilt the test network (twice) and it still will not work. I have even moved the DHCP server onto the SCCM server to see if I can get it to respond. This actually makes it worse. The Windows deployment services server will not start and i cannot set the server to not listen without configuring the WDS server. I have followed the instructions precisely expect for endpoint specific functions. What is wrong? My clients are very interested in figuring this software out so they can deploy globally when its released at this point i cannot even get a test workstation to PXE boot. Please Help Alex
  4. Hello All I am getting a strange response during the Apply OS stage of the install it stops and give error 80070002. I looked it up and every event i find references the network accesses account which I checked and it passes the very test. Any suggestions
  5. Ok I changed that setting still the same error. any suggestions where to look next??
  6. I am trying to get this setup in a lab for a client and I have a problem when the Updates attempt to download from the internet. They use a proxy server and there is no practical way bypass the proxy server. I know the proxy is the problem. is there some way to configure SCCM to use the proxy address to download the patches. Windows Updater is set to use the proxy. Any help would be appreciated.
